In this video i show you have to simply swap out your engine mounts on the Jaguar xe 2015 to 2020 2.0D to give it that smooth quiet tick over and kill that rattle on idle. Please like share and subscribe to my channel
A great video and very amusing. I am ordering a set now. My car is like a tractor. If I just touch the accelerator pedal it smooths out immediately. THanks for taking the time to post it.😄😄
Yep it took me a while to find it when i was looking but i did and do you know in two and a half years + this is the only fault ive ever had with it. Just serviced it and that's it passed MOT no problem run like a dream to.
@paulmcpake2734 I dread ro think what the labour cost are but it cost me £161.00 each from a land rover main agent on ebay. Took me a couple of hours at a lazy pace and it was first Tim of doing it so would piss it in an hour next time. Cheers Dave...
Thx DD for the vid. Good looking cat you've got there. I was thinking of doing this myself on my cat but was putting it off due to the faff factor and the general lack of info out there. This vid really helps. Just waiting for a weather window and I'll be doing it. Cheers :)
Do it will make a huge difference to the ride and the running don't forget to give the gearbox a good hard tug see if that mount has gone if so replace it. 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎
Hi Dave , your video has proved quite popular on the Jag XE forum, Its very good, thanks for sharing this. I dare say a hoist would be your friend here to save undertray removal. Where did you get the mounts from?
One of the best dealers I've ever used comes are bang on they will check your reg so you get vin specific parts www.ebay.co.uk/str/woodacre4x4?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Rbt2pWnmS9-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=imgrlixmQCi&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Look for the part number T4N3780 but safest way is to buy them from the link in description its a jaguar landrover specialist but not to many of the old ones about just be carful.
Sorry Dave but I cannt find the link to the dealer. Please can you advise. Also, are both front engine mounts the same part number?@@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
Hi yep both same part and I will attach link here must have forgot to put it on. www.ebay.co.uk/str/woodacre4x4?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Rbt2pWnmS9-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=imgrlixmQCi&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Hi Dave, Amazing video and helpful. I just had a quick question - how many engine mounts this engine has? I know left and right, there are two more in the front?
Not that I know of bud I replaced the two left and right mid engine and there is a gearbox mount the goes to if you can feel the thud of the box engage then a new box mount will be needed also they have exhaust mounts that may also need replacing look at your exhaust on tick over if it's shaking there gone if exhaust tail is solid on tick but moves when reved that ok.
@@user-pi9jx3yp6p Do what i said in the video start her up and grab hold of one engine mount first on the engine side then on the body side if it feels the same its fooked and you must replace both at same time. its not a cheap job but its so worth it...
Hi. Selling my xe to a dealer as PX. Slight vibration at idle 750RPM. Dont want to throw money at it. How do I increase the idle speed to 850RPM. Thanks
