Hi all, here's a Jaguar XJ/XJL 2012-20, OEM Style Android head unit we installed earlier this week, it's a great upgrade for the car, giving you a plethora of features, while maintaining the original BOSCH or Harman Kardon Menu in the car.
This system is great for getting CarPlay or Android Auto for your radio, but also for the Android OS allowing you to get onto the Google Play Store to download applications directly to the system's storage.

Thank you, it does look good, this system will work in your car no worries, it works in both the BOSCH and Harman Kardon cars regardless, works with the OG menus, and the original reverse and parking sensors

How about the instalation? Is it still needed, like in the older Android multimedias, to transfer the mainboard from the original screen to the new one?

Yes you do have to do that but it is very easy, I did mine and I’ve never done anything like this before, great unit

Does this system use the original reverse camera? Does it use the existing antennas? Ta.

It does use the original reverse camera, it doesn't use the car's original GPS or Bluetooth it has it's own ones

Are there any minor bugs with this system? Phone calls? Also, when playing music over bluetooth (on original car interface), does it work well?

So the main thing is if you're using the Bluetooth on the Android OS Side, don't connect to the OG bluetooth at the same time, and vice versa, as it will struggle to understand which side to stream. With that in mind, you also have to swap back and forth from AUX to OG System Audio if you wanted to hear on the OG system, then the new system, as they cannot share the same sound output, the AUX is swapped in the menus

Do the voice functions still work for NAV, PHONE, and COMANDS?

On the original side of the system that would, but they wouldn't work on the Android OS Side of the system, although as you have to swap over the audio input, you'd recieve no sound unless you manually swapped back

Are you still using yhe original speaker amplifiers?

Yes, this system uses either the car's stock speakers, or the meridian sound if you've got that

Possibly, if you've got the BOSCH screen like the one shown in the video on the original side, as well as an AUX port or a USB port in the car for the Audio, this system would work, assuming it fits your car's dash correctly, if you'd like send us a picture of your car's dash over to our email, while the screen is on and we can confirm for you, our email is admin@iceboxatuto.com if you want to send us some pictures over there, cheers

Yes you can do, when you're using the CarPlay, and the OK Google, or Hey Google on the Android OS Side on some specific apps with voice command functionality
