The Bengals defense has really stepped it up, in 4 games so far they allowed only 18.75 points per game. To put into perspective, last years best defense, the Rams, allowed 18.5 points per game.

Before the 82 yard Ja'Marr Chase touchdown against the Ravens in Week 7, my thoughts on a Bengals spot were a safe wildcard spot. After that touchdown, the sky was the limit, and my expectations increased.

I think Lawrence tried to be the hero on that play, the concept of option is to make that outside guy make a decision. It seemed Lawrence thought he saw a hole and just took it

You also forgot the flag that conveniently was thrown out right after the jags had that potetially game winning sack on 3rd down in the second half. Then they gave them a 1st and practically won the bengals the game.

I agree, and I think he would have an even bigger impact as a strong safety closer to the line of scrimmage as I said on a post above. He's a classic hitter at the position and blitzes well from what I have seen. Saw him play on TV when he was at Wyoming also. He appears a step slow sometimes at deep safety but has a good short area burst.
