This Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) project provided funding for the renovation and construction to expand the housing and administrative support capabilities of the Athens-Clarke County Jail. Operated by the Sheriff's Office, the jail facilities include areas for inmate processing, inmate housing, judicial space, support services for inmates, and staffing.
