Honestly I think a big part of these games dying is also due to the fact we are all growing up. Jailbreak constant updates are great they keep lots of nostalgia in here to ogs. But 7 years like we all grew up on jailbreak and all things must come to an end

Jailbreak had its simplicity. The newer players dont gare about the prison/crime genre. They just want to play donate pls and other brainrot games

Played jailbreak since 2017 after 7 years ive enjoyed every second of it

I'm a BETA Jailbreak player, and I think it's safe to say that the rivalry that these 2 games had was unlike anything seen before or after 2017-2019 The dynamic that games had back then was totally different compared to now, and I think it's safe to say that both games have reached the end of their lifespans Jailbreak had constant updates and was pretty much roblox's hegemon for a while, even the devs admit that they never expected this much growth from JB in such a short amount of time Mad City was pretty much JB but with a couple of twists, and meant for players who wanted a bit more variety for robberies an teams(the only robberies in JB back then were the Cargo Train, Museum, Bank and Jewelry Store, and Mad City had the superhero team) I still remember being a stupid 11-year old watching this war go wild in all sorts of ways Ironically it's fair to say that this conflict was a draw, as both games have slowed down considerably Looking back, I think we've all grown up, and in the future, we might look back on both games with a hint of nostalgia...

I really want to 2019 to play mad city again and normally play jailbreak without crazy lags. It was gold time both of them. Now playing not the same like 3-4 years ago..:(

This video makes me emotional thinking that I’ve played this game ever since January of 2020 and the nostalgia hit hard. I don’t know if it’s true that they wills top updating jailbreak but I have many ideas that may work! If they stop updating jailbreak, they may even make a new prison or even other genre of Roblox games.

i was a mad city tryhard back then, and when the live event to chapter 2 was released i thought the game would re-start the seasons like 1-6 but when i saw that they re made the game i just dipped out of the game to never play it again

mad city was peak in 2020-2021-2022, me and my best friend on xbox literally stayed ingame for 4 entire hours during the event where it redid the entire city talking about the event and predicting whats gonna happen.. he hasn't been online since.

I hope mad city adds a live event based around a clock malfunctioning causing it to reverse time and our task would be to spot it but we fail.. BUT CHAPTER 1 comes back (slightly more smoother)

Madcity is where i (in old account) and my friend often plays but sadly my friend no longer online anymore and sadly she unfriended me.... Madcity is where i have fond memories with me and my friend so i will miss the OG Madcity...

Damn, I remember when Madcity came out, I was still able to play Roblox on my phone back then, now Im lucky if I can launch a game for a daily reward

oh god the covid era was golden for mad city i remember playing madcity 7 hrs a day jailbreak was also good back then but nowits full of lags and new players dont fit in jailbreak as the sweats wont leave them alone same is the case with me and now chap 2 of madcity is reviving more and more players are coming back i hope it is revived back so i can get the nostalgia and the good old robberies and fun btw great vid Neatzo

I was thinking that I was going to make a Jailbreak style game with lots of cars added every month or week. Its like the victorian era london as an open world sort of map but you can rob lots of stuff and buy futuristic cars.

What now? That means no update. It’s like we have to retire in a job.😢

The main reason why I stopped playing Mad City is because of the devs' ridiculous decision to remove the option for villains to change their outfits. I have put together villain outfits for mad city because I loved roleplaying as one. It was bad enough that they kept revamping and nerfing the superpowers but removing the option to change into custom clothing was the final nail to the coffin for me.

I remember playing both games. Fun times especially when I first played Jailbreak and discovered how much more fun and different it was compared to prison life and redwood prison which I played way before Jailbreak.

I honestly dropped off of Mad City Ch2 once the game started to take its toll on my Phone, as well as the game becoming less entertaining to play. Jailbreak I never really tried to approach either, idk why tbh. But I think for both games this is a fitting end for them, both have come out ontop, both have been around for a very long long time.

As a OG Mad City player that still plays today i can say that mad city is prob not coming back. Our biggest creator "Degree" quit Mad City AND RU-vid and half of the dev team quit so if mad city does uptade we wont have that many BIG creators to make vids about the game

The old prison game era is dead. It lasted 7 years and while it had a rocky road, I will always have fond memories of it.

I will always love Mad City. I played Jailbreak once or twice and I never really cared for it. I just miss when they had cool holiday updates and bosses. 😢I really struggled with the Christmas boss but I had the time of my life. I was so sad when they didn't have a boss last year. 😿

This video was good, but I want to give some criticism. This video really feels all over the place. I keep thinking it's about to end, but then you suddenly come in with an entirely different tone. I'd recommend scripting it out thoroughly, then reading over it to make sure its orderly. Other than that, very good video about a topic rarely discussed

Ok, so a while back I pitched the idea of doing an idea of custom robberies that are set at a certain difficulty like Geometry Dash. If you and your crew complete a lot of the hardest robberies you can get a lot more cash or exclusive rewards, and you can create your own custom custom robbery that gets popular and gives you some cash per completion. The reason why I say this is, well, Geometry Dash itself truly ran out of things to add 8 years ago; people were able to make almost any kind of level at that point, so the community took over and now it is one of the most popular games.

The fun thing is that the games that keep updating will die there will be no more updates, but the games like GTA V, which was already completed fall differently and may be slower.

I doubt Mad City will update again to be honest. I think Mad City was the only thing keeping me on Roblox, after that mad city update I quit playing more than once a week and for a while I didn’t even play for months, I just come online to see my friends now. It was the first game I really played a lot and seeing it go down like that, I just couldn’t play it anymore.

og mad city was not that good in modeling and stuff but the old robberys were epic and perfect no bugs man i miss it used to grind it everyday after coming back from school

I never knew that the two games are interconnected, that Jailbreak updates because of Mad City and vise versa. Well if this is the end for this genre then its the end. But lets all be honest that bringing back Mad City chapter 1 would revive this genre.

I remember back when Madcity was all about Cluckdonalds and defeating him and when Jailbreak didnt even have the power plant robbery. To be honest, they both feel vastly different from back then if you haven't played since.

As a Jailbreak player of 7 years its sad but I enjoyed its time on the platform.

I don't play jb but it said that this game is ending after years of updates. Mad city use to be really fun until I started playing it more often I started to get mad and I had bad mental health while playing in ch2 but wen playing in ch1 I had fun with my brother and he quit after ch2 released. I haven't played Roblox ever since there Christmas update in mad city. I will mis both of these games even though they aren't gone they are done with updates for good

Mad city in 2019 reached its peak but they started to changr everything even we change because of the pandemic. Before the pandemic every computer shop is always full of noice playing mad city and jailbreak (im one of them) and when the pandemics ended some computer shop went out of business and some computer shop is still alive but dead inside there are no more players even i stop playing mad city and jailbreak after the pandemic the after so many years i came back with a news that both games are ending it's just unbelievable but we have to accept the truth. Men i wish i can go back to the OG era of mad city and jailbreak where both games reached its peak

So technically mad city killed jailbreak forcing it to update to the point that there is nothing left to add in the process of not realising that it was killing it self at the same time (This is sad for both games I am not Jailbreak bias they are both great games)

Hey! I don't know why people misunderstood what they said. Jailbreak won't stop updating, they will still do the seasons, they just won't add new things every month. They haven't been adding monthly stuff for like half a year already.

Why JB/Mad city expanded their powers too much that maintenance and updating takes too much effort to be carried out. Just like the Soviet Union, too big to not fall.

Both games lost as far as roblox popularity goes. during the update wars adopt me took of the popular tab and now roleplay rules roblox as a platform. However Between jailbreak and mad city jailbreak won shortly after mad city did there first pay 2 win update which caused most youtubers to abandon the game and jailbreak responded with a similar update without the pay 2 win mechanics, ever since that day jailbreak has pretty much had more players and a more loyal fanbase. Long story short jailbreak won years ago. Since then mad city has attempted multiple come backs, like when they first added apartments. Then later with chapter 2. I think mad city chapter 2 is actually fantastic, the robberies are great as are many of the new vehicles and mad city has been more enjoyable for me, however jailbreak remains the most polished and beloved prison game on the platform. Mad city didn't start losing players because of changing the game they lost players because they released a horrible pay to win season and then proceeded to be attacked by major youtubers like kreekcraft at the time who was a major jailbreak youtuber along with many other youtubers. Then the taymaster controversy happened right after.

So Mad City will still update but they haven’t done it since almost 2 months now. Maybe Mad City isn’t updating bc they are working on an live event but who knows . I still remember the times where mad city was a game that my brother and me could play all day…now it’s not like that anymore . I’d really like seeing Mad City be again a game that was so much fun to play . Jailbreak was so much fun to play back then aswell…the times where they’d do weekly updates just to compete against Mad City. I miss the old day but everything has to come to an end !
