Hepa, I can only imgaine what these song could mean to the older generation. The song is not only a song for love; it also represents the kind of life and thinking of those days. Growing up mostly outside Manipur, this song can take us back to the hills even if it were fore a while. Jajai has done justice to the melody.

This song hits different, it’s like a family song for us. Once in a while you come across a song that brings back in flashlight all the good memories of childhood and it’s this one right here for me and my family. My brothers and I grew up listening to our Dad who is not a Kuki/Thadou loving this song and gracing our house with this song. Singing it almost everytime he got a guitar in his hands with his husky voice,oh if only i had a romantic voice as you Dad. Always Mesmerised by the song, this Stoic of a men,my dad, melt with the song. I miss him. I really love this song! I'm Lai/Chin from Myanmar. I know a bit more about my Mizo brothers and Sisters, but I really want to know more about the Kuki brothers and sisters. I don't know much about the Kuki, although we stem from one familial group 😢

I think it doesn't matter whether one knows this language or not. The song is so beautiful that you just get lost in it. And i feel everyone can agree that Jajai is the best country singer in the whole of northeast or perhaps the whole country.

Thank you for this beautiful song!! It brought back childhood memories… I used to hear this on the AIR station played on the Thadou program…. I didn’t even know who the singer was but the song stayed on in my mind … my mom Kuki & dad a meitei, just fyi…. Most surprisingly, I attended the mission hospital nursing school in Jorhat tolpi& I used to imagine myself being in those time period of this song….. angai vale… plz convey my warm regards to Mr. Jangkholam…. if anyone can relay it … would be much appreciated….
Although I don't understand the lyrics at all not knowing the language but the singer is excellent and the song and melody are very enjoyable and nice, so very pleasant to listen to.
