What your doing is wrong and can lead you to go out of Islam if your not serious.we Muslims we directly ask for Allah to ease our challenges and to solve our needs.you don't need to first go to achurch for anon Muslim to pray for you instead you would have gone to amosque pray and then raise your hands to ask Allah to provide for you and to solve your challenges in life.the most powerful prayer is that you personally ask directly to Allah.if you wanted some one else to pray for you then a lot of sheikhs are there to help you out but not pastor in church.
