I actually just started replaying Jak 3 and had to come back to this video and comment again my observations, lol. So, in the "Behavior & Abilities of Dark Sages" section of the video I noticed something in the game that sort of changes the interpretation of Seem's abilities in monumental ways. What I notice is that when you're in the arena level, when Jak goes Dark Jak something interesting happens. If you've just come off of playing Jak II, then the player, and canonically Jak himself, knows how to control the Dark eco powers. In Jak II we learn to do this from the oracle. However in the level, if you TRY reverting back to regular Jak, it only lasts a second before the game automatically makes Jak transform to Dark Jak again against the player's (and therefore Jak's) will. Even once you've beaten the correct number of combatants and the fighting ends, you cannot revert to human form. At this point the player is wondering why they can't control Jak properly. To advance, you MUST approach the elevator and trigger the cutscene, which leads directly into Seem doing the staring at Jak thing while disorienting music plays. I'm almost positive that the intended implication here is that, somehow, Seem is actually controlling Jak's Dark powers. Which would make sense, if your theory is correct, and Seem is a Dark Sage. They would be capable of manipulating Dark eco, which Jak's body is full of. It's just pretty strange that Naughty Dog didn't develop this further, or perhaps it was meant to, but due to the time constraints of making Jak 3, the Seem story had to be cut down.
Ohh now that you point it out, perhaps Seem being a Dark Sage is enough to have Jak unable to back out his form? It feels like when they looked at him their energy rubbed against eachother especially with Seem being angry at him.
@@elafrum1278 Awesome! Well, you did a great job presenting your ideas and the facts, and the whole antisemitism angle with Veger was cool too, I've never heard anyone else bring that up. You've convinced me! Whether it's what the writers of the game intended or not, Seem is a Dark Sage in my heart! Haha
@8LiterallyJustTheNumber8 I wouldn't call antisemitism cool ...! I guess you mean, that I noticed it and brought it up? It's just a responsibility people have to avoid taking things at face value, you know. ? Anyways if Seem's brought back for any reason I'd like for it to expand the dark eco=/=bad stuff just like how they did with Jak hehehe
