Jakarta Airport to City by Train Guide

Made a trip to Jakarta, Indonesia and took the Airport Train to the City. Wanted to see how easy to use the public transport as well as saving some money. The trip from Airport to BNI City was around 40 mins and walking to the hotel was only 20 mins hence whole trip was around 1 hour cause I am a fast walker... After that I spent the few days hunting for Ayam Penyet (Indonesian Crushed Chicken Rice)

A little update: There is now an elevated pedestrian bridge connecting Terminal 2 to the skytrain station, so it's more comfortable to walk. Terminal 3 also has already the pedestrian bridge. It was the only terminal in CGK connected to the skytrain station, until the new bridge built for the T2. Oh and yes, the seat number is useless. You can seat wherever you want. I hope in the future the machine accept cash, it's so impractical for some people

Very helpful. Are the morning trains from BNI to the airport on time? I have a morning flight, and I'm concerned about rush traffic, so I want to avoid cabs.

Trains on time just beware of rush hour crowds

Is the first train/skytrain free to ride? I noticed you only paid in the second one which is going to the city.

Yes those skytrais are between terminals only. The one to the city need to pay via Visa card.

Hey both of them is smashed by mortar with lots of chili. But the geprek one typically using crispy chicken when the penyet only using a typical fried chicken

Yes one is crispy the other is not... I prefer the original type which I'll feature on the following Jakarta video but hell it's hot hot hot!
