That was very cool, I'm just finishing Tokyo Vice and looking videos about Jake and his real story, and this was very illuminating and was happy to know that Jake is a very good and interesting person. Saludos from Chihuahua
The show is really great. The social norms and cultural differences between Japan and America are portrayed extremely well in the show. It’s those attention to details that make a good storyline even better.
Great narratives from Jake but really wish interviewer would show some more genuine interest in his responses. Just didn't seem like he is actively listening but maybe this is just his interview style.
An assessment of Jake Adelstein by the world's best yakuza experts. "Not only do they misrepresent the yakuza, they make themselves into the heroes of crime novels and start telling the world that they are yakuza experts. It is tedious, time-consuming, and frequently causes trouble. I have learned the hard way that my name and work are often used to enhance the credibility of this work."
That story about kicking the bully in the balls ...sounds completely fake ....Firstly you use a Front kick to attack the stomach and chest area ....to kick the balls u just throw a normal leg swing type of kick ....similar to kicking a football ....secondly ...there is NO WAY a teacher can force a child to ATTEND a Karate club ...with the threat of explusion from school if he does not attend ....thirdly ...he says they were filing out of class when he attacked the bully ....therefore ALL of the CLASS wud have seen him attack the guy ...So ALL the bullies mates wud know he had been attacked ....and did NOT trip .... The more u look into the Stories this Journalist tells ...the more u will realise that some of them are LIES .... He does tell a half decent story though
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H4wSlY723po.html - Jack you have a great show for sure, especially the spin-off of the Amazon series with Chris Pratt. I would appreciate your thoughts on when you will have folks from the UKSF on your show, or should I say ex-UKSF guys, i.e., ex-SAS and SBS operators. The ultimate operators that every other unit copies but never matches.
