Jake "The Snake" Roberts on Bruiser Brody's Murder!
WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts talks about working with Bruiser Brody who was brutally murdered in a WWC Puerto Rico dressing room by Jose Gonzalez aka Invader #1 in 1988. Gonzalez was never punished for the crime and continued working for the company as both a wrestler and member of the office for decades after and still appears for the company on occasion!

Tony Atlas said that the last thing on Brody's mind was his son. Tony was going to draw a picture of him for free for Brody. He was ready to hand it to Tony when he was stabbed. He held the picture of his son from the stabbing , ambulance ride etc. One hand on his stomach and the other on the picture. He truly was a gentle giant.

and they weren't even friends. In fact Brody as booker of World Class cut out Atlas and didn't book him. but when the murder happened, Atlas saw a fellow American in distress so he put himself out and helped Brody as best he could. The murderer and Carlos Colon went to the local cops and told them that a "crazy fan" stabbed Brody. Atlas had to get an interpreter and tell the cops the truth. If it were not for Atlas we may have never known who really stabbed Brody.

My dad was stationed in Puerto Rico from 88 to 91, that place was a corrupt 3rd world shit hole back then and even more so now. The police are corrupt as all hell it's self, Brody being an Anglo and the grease ball who murdered him a Rican with financial assets, no way would justice ever be served in that case. My dad had his truck car jack in the middle of San Juan sitting at a traffic light in heavy traffic, a Rican stuck a gun in his face demanded his truck and drove off when the light turned green, dad was almost run over by the rest of the cars that were sitting at the light observing the car jacking, no one even stop to help him either. The police took almost an hour to arrive after he was able to call in the crime, he never seen his truck again and as far as my dad is concerned that entire island can go to hell.

That's not true. Tony Atlas, stayed with him after the attack, went to the hospital, and was willing to testify in Court. They never contact him. It was a horrible thing that happened in the locker room and yes a lot of his so call friends did nothing! That's the real crime! But Tony did all he could to save him.

Oh no they did contact Tony, along with Dutch Mantell by mail. But by the time they both got their subpoenas, the trial was already over and Jose was acquitted

NOT SO FUN FACT: Supposedly the latent response from medical personnel was due to a Menudo concert being held at the same time at another venue down the street. The Menudo concert was much bigger and, I guess there weren't a whole lot of ambulances to go around to they decided to put them there. I think having to get through the concert to leave, and then having to get through the crowd of wrestling fans to get to him all probably slowed things down drastically. All around it's just a horrible tragedy that could have easily been avoided.

Jake is cool. But please kids never try to DDT someone. That's dangerous. I saw a kid almost get paralyzed from someone messing around with that maneuver. We all thought it looked cool when Jake did it but it's a good way to really fuck somebody up permanently. Brody got murdered in cold blood in front of witnesses and nobody did any time for it. That is weak

I just heard about the injustice of the Bruiser Brody case. I thought Puerto Rico was in the United States. Why didn't the U.S. step in????????? There is no statue of limitations on murder. Open that trial back up and get that guy.

Basically Carlos Colon had invader 1 kill Brody so they could keep the money Brody gave Colon to go in on the puerto rican wrestling company or they didn't want to pay him that they both would own.I guess Colon was greedy ... all these wrestlers shooting on Brodys Murder are repeating what they heard ,except for the ones who were actually there ...look for the match Manny Fernadez vs Indvader 3 ... Manny knee dropped invader 1 from the top rope then invader 1 or was it 3 started spitting up blood ,and never really wrestled much after that Manny said he did that for revenge for Brody or was it a work ... all the American wrestlers didn't get their summons to appear in court untill the day after the trial ! Justice was not done .invader 1 colon's stooge had a knife in a towel while Brody was taking a shower and Colon turned of the lights and invader 1 ripped Brody's stomach open to where Brody had to hold his guts from falling out and stabbed Brody once near the heart. i guess Money is the root of all evil ...
