@@Jack-jx2ug They are technically the same, nightowl is just a name for owl man so that he could be in watchmen, so that Batman could be in watchmen, but Owl man and nightowl have one big difference, owl man doesn't have strong emotions.
There is only 1 little detail that bother me about the suit and it's the ears and the line that connect them to the eyes. The shape seems wrong compared to how great the BVS cowl was. This one makes him look like an owl. When you have a direct frontal view the line connecting to the eyes go outward to the ears and that makes the ears looking more pointed outward than they are. That brings out the owl look even more to me. Other than that it seem like a fusion of the regular suit, armored suit and a touch of the nightmare suit with the glasses and its a great suit.
I see where you're getting at but you have to understand this is a tactical low-profile suit so what Ironhead Studios decided with the mask was to make it something that goes on bit by bit so the cow isn't something that you're supposed to just slip on it's layers of armor not just on the body but on the helmet and it's supposed to be streamlined that's why it's built with low profile ears because when you design things in streamline they're supposed to be that way
I don't mind the low profile and the short ears. In fact the BVS suit work so well because they didn't go for the long ears. It's that tiny curve on the outside of the ears that ruins it for me. If only it was a more direct line like the BVS suit instead of curving in the outward or have the ears point more inward. I have never seen that in a Batsuit. When I first seen the tactical suit it immediately reminded me of Nite Owl from Watchmen. On things that ruins a batsuit it's nowhere near batnipples or robot abs but it's still a detail that will make me skip the Hot Toys figure.
Brilliant I don't know why it's called tactical suit when he did no tactical about it in the movie, he's plan was literally to die to give the other guys an opening.
Yeah, it really sealed he deal for me in the shot with all six of them at the very end(which, side note, almost made me faint), he looked great there, when it was just the normal cowl and he didn't have the goggles on(since he wasn't in the Batmobile).
When I did my Batfleck's stubble, I cut off all but about 2mm of the bristles on a small painting brush. I then put a small dab of brown paint on a peice of paper and flattened it into a small, thin circle and just put the tip of the cut up brush into it. I used that brush to sort of poke the stubble onto his face. I don't know if this helps you, Chris, but it worked a treat for me.

Chris had the same problem with the five O'clock shadow I had. I found taking a mix of some gray and flesh tone paint watered down. Matte clear it first so if you goof you can remove it a little better.
I might have missed something, but I wish they told us why he changes to the tactical suit, I loved Batfleck in Justice League even when he was making weird jokes and smiling, that scene at the beginning was mint!
Pastel chalks work wonderfully for beard stubble. Scrape some off with a hobby knife creating a powder. Use a paint brush, and dabble bits around areas to create stubble. Can be used for highlighting effects, makeup etc...
In the next Batman custom collectible you should (after putting on a new one)make the cape solid and not flowing but look like it is flowing with fabric or another glue. So...a BILLOEING CAPE! Idk, just and idea - Angus

I've had good luck with am old tooth brush for the stubble effect. You tape off the mask and the. Slowly flick the toothbrush over the area... works great.
I would try taking some painters tape, using something like a needle, and poking random holes in it. Then placing the tape on the face and going over with your paint. Should go through the holes and place small enough detail to emulate the stubble.
Amazing job! I love all of your Jakks Pacific Custom Collectibles! I just picked up the tactical Batman and Flash to add to my collection, will definitely have to incorporate some of the stuff you did!
I really love this one I understand what you're saying with the stubble it seems like it's hard when you do it by hand but personally I think it would have been better if you strip the paint off the mouth and used a better paint but you do it for low cost and do it in a manner for other people to do it affordable which is great because a lot of times people wouldn't even think of using shoe polish to darken the paint great job Chris

Another awesome video.im doing the 19" Batman figure using the show polish technique.i see that sometimes especially you use the actual sponge on the bottle and sometimes you use a brush.also sometimes you remove the excess straight away and sometimes let it dry before removing.im gonna follow you're Batman tip and remove it straight away.thanks for all the great tips and advice with these figures.

You should start making playlist for your different types of content, Especially for custom collectibles! I've had a couple of times where I couldn't find certain episodes because it was so far down in your channel, and due to the fact that you have so much different awesome stuff going on in your channel.
I really like your intervention works in the action figures ... I would like to see your genius applied to Batman's new batmobile in Justice League. There is a toy of him that measures about 40 cm. Could you intervene one of those? It would be amazing!
Did you ever work with Wargames minis Chris? I think you would love some of the Games Workshop washes and glazes. Especially for faces and skin tones, while not the cheapest solutions I still say that the range of paints for minis are better than enamels and such, but I am an acrylic snob even though I do use oil washes for some applications. I also suggest using a matte medium mixed into things like black paint for certain applications.
I think Batflecks Justice League suit looks a lot better than his Justice League Tactical Batsuit personally. It looks cool but I always dig the street batman.
The only gripe I have with this is...this wasn’t like his BvS suit where he’d been fighting in it for 20 years..this was a brand new suit, so his cape didn’t need weathering like his BvS cape, it was a new cape. Nothing against your vision and I can’t even do anything like this, but I know you go for realism and being close to film so just saying.
