Jakob Bro (guitar) Palle Mikkelborg (flugelhorn) Thomas Morgan (bass) Jon Christensen (drums) Recorded at The Village Studio Copenhagen in February 2018 Engineer: Thomas Vang Film by Adam Jandrup & Andreas Koefoed
Just discovered this amazing piece of music while listening to "Laid Back Jazz Radio" on Tune In and now i know i won't stop listening to it on a loop until i know every single note...
Mikkelborg is a sublime trumpet and flugelhorn player.Along with Rypdal et al these fabulous scandi musicians will be sorely missed when they shed their Mortal coils. Especially by me..Beautiful.
You're not far off! The original theme for Homeland ("Terminal 7") was from Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko's album "Dark Eyes" (2009). Jakob Bro was the guitarist on that album.
I don't like the name-age jazz, it is meandering and not composed and the drummer is just randomly hitting the drums, there is no groove, it seems all disjointed, no melody or anything. It remind me of Jackson Pollock and other leftist artists who just random do things without and structure. It is not enjoyable.
