Watching you makes me truly sad that a) I gave up swing years ago and b) am 54. Your lines and flow are so breathtaking and you never fail to make me smile while watching you and Jakub (actually no matter who you partner.) Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful, I can watch you two for days. You’re my favorite couple to watch in WCS. Does anyone know what this song is ? It’s a cover of “twice” by little dragon.
@@fandrall2 Then they should call it what it is. It WCS. It’s not Modern Swing. Talk about trying to confuse the public. If they feel the dance has evolved into a new genetic species of swing then they should still label it and move on. Shag, Bop, Hand Dance, Imperial, Push, Whip are all post WW2 evolutions of Lindy. They way WCS keeps changing, it would make sense to do the same. At some point when a species loses its genetic identifiers and evolves into its own unique species with its own unique identifiers, you identify it as such and give it a separate classification.
@@kenroesel3882 You have some great points! WCS keeps evolving with time, especially with the spread of the dance all over the world and people bringing their own background into it! That's what we find beautiful with this dance form, that it allows so much "hybridity" and versatility. We added the "modern swing" label as there was a discussion at that time, initiated by Benji Schwimmer, about renaming WCS (mostly for promoting purpose, as the name might be too long and too complex to advertise it outside of the community)
