Someday the Knicks will retire this man's jersey. This man is a Knickerbocker. Single handedly put the Knicks back to this level of relevance and excitement since maybe Carmelo.
Agree 100%, just referring to relevance in terms of having the star power. Carmelo was a superstar but was not as exciting. JB is a superstar (got rob of being an all star this year) and exciting to watch. This man got heart, that mental tough ess and grit, not afraid of the moment.
What a team. You say he took responsibility. Well Josh Hart took responsibility for missing the free throw. Mitchell Robinson took responsibility for the stupid 4 point play. Accountability may start with Brunson, but it goes through and through. I grew up a die-hard Knicks fan. The Isiah Thomas - Phil Jackson eras drove me away. It wasn't the losing, it was the atmosphere they created through the organization (finger pointing, harrasment lawsuits etc) that sucked my soul out. I'll be honest, I was skeptical of the Leon Rose hiring. Well he proved me wrong. Is this team a true contender? Maybe not. I don't care. They are easily the easiest Knicks team to root for in my lifetime (I was a diehard in the 90s, but it was painful rooting for Starks/Smith etal).
@@carmine6871 Shaq predicted the Magic would sweep the Knicks if they met 1st round. He just doesn't like them. Has nothing to do with Jokic or Embiid lol
@@MoonIronTR so a team whos been getting all the offensive rebounds to pass it to their best player to shoot multiple times, and the sixers arent even a true 7th seed lol
They clearly already have lol. Without Randle and Bogdanovic, Brunson is tasked with carrying the biggest load on offense of any player in the entire playoffs. No other player has to do more on offense than Jalen Brunson with Randle not there to lighten the load. The Knicks will go as far as Brunson can carry them
@@Y_hassKnicks are the real deal. They dont make mistakes and they play like a team. They are the biggest threat to The Celtics and I would actually pick them if they both meet up in the ECF. Denver or Minnesota would be tough though for sure..
@@rupertpupkin2660 knicks arent playing a team they are good defensive team but holy hell their offense is so bad they rely on brunson taking 35 shots and dropping 45 game after game and they dont have a bench
@@rupertpupkin2660 There are 5 teams in the NBA better than the Knicks rn: OKC, Sota, Nuggets, Mavs and Celtics. I won't be mad if the Knicks proved wrong though, they play with purpose and heart.
Shaq is a Hater on the Knicks and Kenny is a fake NY fan. Chuck is cool because he actually has ties to Philly. Ernie is always great. Love that Brunson is proving people wrong all year.
For any non Knick or Sixer fans this was the best series to watch by far. As a Knick fan im so proud of my team, and happy and grateful to advance, but i may have lost a few years off my life 😅 especially in game 5
@@rahtaylor7651 I hope so. He willed his team to the 2nd seed, beat last year's MVP, broke playoff records, took his team to back to back 2nd round appearances, etc... And it's NY. Strange.
@@citi360he’s a chill dude. Doesn’t want the hype just the success. He’s out there trust me. He just gotta put the work in a lil more and it’ll all unravel. I didn’t use to like Brunson at first back in Dallas but he’s a thoroughbred leader
I really doubt that. They belong to TNT, who are competing with NBC for the contract to host the NBA finals after the current contract expires. The Inside crew is one of the main draws that TNT is using to get that contract. Why would they lend them out to NBC? And why would NBC take them?
@@3lastname390 Barkley said he has an opt-out in his TNT contract so he's def headed to NBC if they win. I'd imagine that for the others it'd be more difficult.
@@darkmatter7668 Bad example. Barkley wants to retire and only stay because he wants to help out TNT acquire that NBA finals contract. This is a known fact that you can even find Barkley talking about it here on RU-vid. Money isn't much of an motivating for him, so why would he opt out of TNT a place he loves, to go work more... when he wants to retire?
@@3lastname390 He literally just said the other night that he would absolutely move on to another network. He isn't retiring if NBC gains the rights. He's also been on a publicity tour recently which should tell you that he has plans on expanding his brand.
It’s been said many times but Dallas made a huge mistake not signing Brunson. Someone fact check me but if Brunson make 1st Team All-NBA this year Dallas drafted Luka and Brunson in the same draft . Has a team ever drafted 2 1st Team All-NBA players in the same draft? That’s kinda wild, but no one saw this coming . I thought he would be like a new era Derek Fisher .
@@rthompson1330 I meant more like when he was drafted . But even if you mean when he signed with New York maybe some thought he’d be an allstar but he’s way more than that now, this is the type of season and series only top 5 to 10 players and future 1st ballot hall of famers have . Very few people thought he was that and some might still doubt he is that still .
Kenny A True NeW Yawker .. Means a lot coming from a Guy who help beat the NYK [playing for the Rockets] for a Chip. Ugh So many Parallels, Dem Nova Boyz beating Kenny's Heels .. Now Dem Nova Boyz playing for thee Knickerbockers . The NoVa Boyz coming back to Philly nd winning.. ripping those same fanz who cheered for them in 2016
