Hi! Thanks for checking out the video! I wish I could have kept her longer! She is a great creation! Here is the last video with her for now until I can borrow her again! 😄 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HQG-iBFp59s.html
Wow! Just listened to 'i.i' on Spotify. Fantastic, experimental and clearly from the heart. If you're here and you haven't done so yet, then get on it! My new fave Sunday morning music!
@@Airhaert I don't have any gear right now, my Microfreak is arriving on Tuesday and Im about to finish my DIY build, the MFOS Soundlab Ultimate. These two synths and my Push 2 should do the trick for me to be able to perform again ;). Love from Brussels!
@@ElCamelloLocoO yooo the microfreak is a beast in a small package! I've never heard of the other one! I'm going to check it out now! 🙂 Ableton is so powerful! I used to run solely on Ableton, push 2, and a few pieces of gear too before I ventured out with all the gear in the video. Sequencing in ableton is cool! My goal is to free up my hands a bit more to make the set sound more lively, with many modulations! So grateful to be able to document this process and share with you all! 🙏🏻 Thanks again for your nice words. Will you be sharing your progress too? 😀
Now that you have this amazing synth, weird question: what similarities and differences are there between the gemini and the minilogue xd in terms of how they inspire you to make music?
Oh wow! What a question! This might need a video in itself! :) I only borrowed the Super Gemini, so its music making inspiration was fleeting and reserved to the time I had with it. Minilogue XD stays in my studio! I am having fun exploring wave shaping. Short version: I go with the flow and make a patch and tweek it as I like for that recording session. 🙂
@@buffthecat5645 Great question! I plugged them both in to hear the difference. I midi mapped my midi controller to toggle through both options if I wanted. In the beginning of the jam I used the upper and lower layer mix out. And the second half of the jam I switched to the mix out. Can you hear any differences? Would you like to hear a clearer distinction without the other instruments?
@@Airhaert Gotcha! I just wasn't sure if you knew some trick I might not have known about. No real need to hear the difference. I've owned one for the past few months and am completely enamored with it. I really hope you get to enjoy your own very soon!
@@buffthecat5645Since I only had one day to jam with her, having the toggle option was necessary to soothe my curiosity! Thank you! Need to book some more clients to pay for this mothership and get better at jamming with her with my own presets! 2 months! Excellent! Are you getting used to creating your own presets? Or are you still getting lost in the built in ones?
@@Airhaert About once or twice a week I'll sit down and try making a patch. I only have a handful saved. There are a few jams I posted on my profile that use some patches I created. No nice ambient patches though. I really like messing with the curated patches by mixing them up and seeing where I can take them, or they take me in most cases.
In my time, a jam-session used to imply several musicians improvising together, while this could be called a "live" session (with yourself). Unless the machines are your friends (and you don't like real peaople), then you could call this a "jam" with your friends. Words.
@@fleetadmiralsidiqi1941 I don't even know what the fuck this means. But I own every bit of my comment, so, yeah. Having expensive gear doesn't mean you ought to show the world you playing it poorly.
