Everybody knows the soul of street dance battle is mutual respect 💀and gal had the nerves to say she WANTED to disrespect Kabamba like gurl, its clear she doesn't understand street dance like why is she even there when she had no skill and talent to compete. If she was at least talented with shitty attitude like Greenteck I would have understand, but she was even worse than idols' back up dancers.
Latrice looked like she choreographed it, so it's amazing to see that was improvised. Redlic looked like her fave song came onto the dance floor at a bar and started going ham.

I mean, it's a classic Missy song, if you knew the words and know your body and movement, it's an insane show of experience to come up with the wordplay in your freestyle.

see this is the thing: international dancers are very much trained to freestyle more. like if u ever been to a dance class in LA, the choreographers there always tell eveyone to freestyle for the first 8 count or the last two 8 counts of the dance, so it's instinctual. a lot of dancers in korea don't do that - unless they're told. thus only the good battles we've seen from korean dancers on swf2 are those who are experienced in battling because they know how to play around with the music more
redlic just seems to be kinda rude all the time... like she can't never compliment and always find the bad part at everything.. like girl we can see that you're not confident about yourself, but it doesn't mean you have to be rude
@@tyunlvsuheh I agree. I feel like you can kinda tell when it's editing and when someone isn't that nice. I think Redlic was just rude outright (imitating Audrey dance style during her worst dancer battles on the sidelines and laughing, the microaggressions to Latrice, her beef with Harimu and refusal to shake hands at the end) and I don't think she has a good personality.
This is the problem with many of the dancers there. They limited their knowledge with Dance. There are Street dancing, kpop style formations, and choreographers. Don't get me wrong when I say this I'm not calling others untalented, but they need to broaden their horizon more about the career they chose to do. I've seen many videos of how a good amount of the dancers in the show just have little idea on what they're doing and it's pretty disappointing how little they have in creativity. Everyone has their weakness duh nobody is a perfect dancer, but man some of these dancers and it's popular ones too that are...not captivating?
Yes, I noticed it, too. With only a few teams changing it up, we see a lot of repetitive dances, especially from groups like wolf lo, mannequin, and lady bounce. Lady bounce tries better than the other to actually because their dancing techniques are more diverse. Like they have someone that can portray cute, hip hop, and afro dances, which is better than the other two groups mentioned. I also feel like some teams are afraid of being feminine like most noticeable wolf lo, who get embarrassed when doing anything sexy or feminine. It's good to be pop, but embracing femininity is not bad either. It's a pity tsubaki kill was eliminated they were a well-rounded team.
@@yvetteduru5120 Of course Wolflo and Mannequeen are going to stick to hiphop and waacking, those are their specialty skills in the same way Jam Republic uses afro dance a lot. It's not unusual that a crew on a competition will stick to what they do best, and it's only Tsubakill, 1Million and arguably LadyBounce that have versatile but mainstream styles. For Mannequeen especially, that argument barely makes sense. Yes, they have 3 waackers on the team, but they also have Korea's former best female krumper, a heels goddess and aespa's choreographer, so waacking, krump, heels and 'kpop'. Even the 3 waackers all have a distinctly different style: Cera has her ballet/ballroom influence, hence her leg moves and spins, Wackxxxy is really big on popping and locking and Yoonji is probably the most 'mainstream' out of the 3 and would be best described as 'open style' I'd say.
After finding more about latrice and seeing her other choreography it’s crazy how redlic says she WASN’T that good. No competition Latrice won this one.

redlic's battle was so hard to watch; she can't avoid involving her emotions and ego in her dance, and honestly, that's unprofessional. if she doesn't improve in that aspect, she will never be able to show her full potential in battles because her false confidence and inflated ego persist.

I think this comes from the idea of hard hits being the only way for dancing to show effort or skill . Redlic focuses on fast almost messy movements to battle instead of style and performance. fast movements packed into 40 secs just made her look like a toddler demanding to be called the winner instead of actually showing shes the winner. She didnt let anything breath or form to even be saw as impressive. Latrice showed a bit of bite....musicality...style..skill..and unbothered attitude. Hope she learns from this shes too much of a VET to be known now for this.

What makes the untying of the shoelace even more sickening is that there were people who thought that was cool and entertaining. Latrice definitely ate this up. Redlic was just tossing her hair 90% of the battle.
Latrice had everyone standing up. Jam Republic in general pushed all the other groups to push the limits. I saw other groups using more hips, facial expressions, and other dance moves that Jam Republic used. Best season! Thank you for including a international group.

Help as a person whos been dancing for about 10 years , redlic's moves were so random and were all over the place. Her lines werent sharp and you could clearly see that even latrice was confused as she did not understand how redlic was "dancing". Majority of the time she was just hair flipping and doing random steps on the floor. Latrice's isolation and lines were perfect. Go Queen 👑👑

Other than the kick/turn she did Redlic is all hair flipping unless she has a working 8 count to do. When they do their routines, I give credit where credit is due. Their team is hot!! But as a solo dance “meh”. One of her other battles with a girl was just a whole lotta staring at the girl and hair flipping 🤣🤣🤣. I feel also Latrice is holding back! Instead of focusing on developing artistry, form, athleticism, and a dynamic dance performance vocabulary to reveal your abilities seamlessly to the observers, like Latrice did seamlessly, her "admirer" chose to repeat elementary and predictable moves, gyrate like a toddler, and untie Latrice shoes to shoe "disrespect". This embarrassing for Red, and the energy is so off, like the World will see this and interpret interpret ... I don't get the glares tbh from the crew of Red, like can ya'll chill or is something else replaying in ur mind's vision... it's a danced battle, have fun, dang. Hair tossing is not dancing. Ok, you have hair, we see that, and what, having protein keratin composed of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur is a flex to flex, it seems. I smell gas! Latrice ate and did so gracefully, without the need for a false crew who gas up mediocre gyrations. There was no battle, this was class and Latrice was and is the teacher in demonstrating artistry by respectfully and proverbially, getting a "lic on red".

this is so biased, korean people only clap when redlic go dancing and they’re amazed by redlic performance, when in fact latrice did it so well, she’s giving normani vibes, she have many moves than redlic repeating her moves of dancing. and the way redlic disrespecting latrice is so weird as a dancer, she’s not a good influence to the young dancer. i think the racism is showing because of her race or because redlic representing their country? idk, but for me latrice won, no one can change my mind.

This season of SWF involving so many physical insulting unlike the previous season. I'd rather see Rozalin "disrespecting" LipJ by kicking her leg, raising her hands up etc than seeing some of contestants here act like a thug instead of showing off their techniques. Guess it's just another Mnet attempt to make the season 2 getting the hype like the previous season but they did it in the worst ways possible😕
no offense, even chaeyeon is much better than redlic even though her freestyle dancing is very far compared to professional dancers but she know how to respect her opponent. i think if redlic was in SWF1, maybe she would be teased a lot by other participants
