OK I don't understand what you just did. When you squeeze the milk out of the coconut u are left just with dryed up coconut flesh. Which is off no use it ends being chicken feed. The milk of the coconut is the actual carrier of the flavour.

This roasting method is good & gives good taste to Barfi & pera. Kabir ji ke dohe mere favourite hai, school main iss KI vyakha karne ka bahut maza atta thha.
Barfi looks yummy. This is totally a different method than what we make in Maharashtra or in south India. We just use grated fresh coconut and sugar. There is a simple way to break the coconut, you made it complicated and wasted so much gas, one hit from a chopper and coconut will break into two halves, humble suggestion from land of 🥥

Your method is ok but if kept in freezer for an hour or two u can easily remove the white part. We just break coconut into half n cut small pieces with knife. By roasting coconut it changes the taste
