More high rises, bigger faster more expensive vehicles, more shopping centers and supermarkets....and I would take these good old days over all of that anytime. Good ole Jamaica.
Ah…the waving gallery at NMIA where you would get the last glimpse of your relative before they leave for ‘foreign’, while dressed in your Sunday best. They would keep reappearing at the door for the final goodbyes, and we would watch the plane take off until it was no longer in sight. Lots of tears were shed.
Wow, these are the days when things are so natural, clean, rich and real organic. Yes, the days when Black People knows there true selves. Yes, everything started to go down the drain when they sold Air Jamaica.
The waving gallery @ Norman Manley Airport brought back so much memories it made me cry . He ad theater also brought back memories of😂 my mom I could remember her dressing up so eloquently no movie star in Hollywood looked any better 😂
Me too. It actually look better back then. I’m shock to see so many cars, bus, phones. Fit right in with what I’ve been saying. That Jamaica should not be categorized as a third world country.
@@MauriceKingpin Nice memories 💯💯. I was in Jamaica last week & saw one of the original Jolly bus from the 60s still in good condition!!, .It would be a good restoration project for classic vehicle collectors .There are a few of these iconic buses still intact but hidden in the county side. JO.S is a part of Jamaica's history. It would be a good idea for them to preserve one or two of these foundation town icons . Many older gener would love to see one or two of these foundation vehicles in a classic vehicle show.Respect brethren 💯💯.
My last memory of the airport are these photos. I was shocked to see photos of how it looks now. Also the school books are hitting me hard. Hitting the deepest areas of my memory. I left there in 1987. And visited a couple of times after that in the 90's but that's it.
Yu know how long mi a look fi see the buses from my youth Exterminator 2. Route 48 down town to Patrick City via crossroads and halfway tree and up the boulevard....Exterminator 3 with the big picture of mike Tyson at the back
