Toronto slang is deeply rooted in Caribbean, Jamaican and Ontario slang. Cheesed use to be cheesed off. You hear lots of Northern Ontario people say that.

That's really interesting, we have some of those Canadian slang words here in the UK as well as a few Jamaican ones. Here in the UK cheesed and scrap are very old slang words, as in people in their 70's use them.

Not from Jamaica. But my grandparents are West Indian, and the words are similar. Plus there were plenty of Jamaicans growing up, that knew my family. Another thing, some of the slang is similar to what is used here in the UK. ^^
