I agree look what they did with D’lo. D’lo and Murray have very similar stats the difference is one is the 4th option and one is the second. Imagine if Lebron had a second option averaging 40% for an entire series, the media would ask him to be publicly executed lmfao.
What about Gordon and Porter who failed to show up vs the Timberwolves in that game 7 imagine what was going to be said if they disappointed the king like that instead of Jokic And yeah nobody talks about that
@@Zemlja_je_ravnahe thinks he's saucy and it's hilarious. He has 6th grade handles like Jalen Brown. He also keeps shooting the most inefficient shot in game deep 2 after iso nowhere for 6 seconds lol
@@МаксимГорюнов-м7и He was literally the best guy in that series and had 34/9/17 in game 7 while outside of him and Murray the whole team had combined 20 points💀 But yeah ok Jokic's fault I guess
@@Blasian_guy yeah, these people pick and choose who to hate on. Idk why people choose to hate on Russ, he's the ideal player that they would want to root for, but instead they ignore all the good, and just can't wait for the bad to happen
Wait a second, I thought Jamal Murray was an "all-star caliber" player. That's what the Jokic haters keep telling me as they're trying to diminish his legacy by exaggerating the quality of his teammates. Now I'm confused. Are you saying Jokic won a title with one of the worst supporting casts of all time?
Jokic had a supporting cast with a low ceiling and a high floor (KCP was widely considered the second best 5th option in the league behind DWhite). Murray elevated his playoff performance to all-star levels, the nuggets faced a relatively weak run and the rest was Jokic's greatness. A lot of things had to go their way for the Nuggets championship which has hidden the absolute disaster of a front office that should be ashamed for wasting the prime of one of the GOATs.
that's NOWHERE NEAR the same, wtf. nobody on Hakeem's team was averaging 26 in an entire playoff run. As a matter of fact they weren't even averaging 15. I get it, different eras, but Vernon maxwell was never even close to being the player Jamal Murray is. The nuggets 4th best player in KCP is better than the rockets second option. y'all be riding jokic, and jokic is goated, but cmon bruh
@@Loxymoxy what I meant was : "No other All stars on the squad." Also this doesn't negate the fact that Murray isn't consistent enough as a second option and that was the main topic
Klay Thompson and Jamal Murray have something in common: both suffered catastrophic injuries to their ACL (Klay with both ACL and Achilles), missed 2 seasons, then returned to the court, won the NBA Finals, then both proceeded to be ass in the following playoffs as they lose in the second round as defending champions (Common theme for champions since the Raptors won the title in 2019), then the next year both Klay and Jamal proceeded to be ass rest of the time being.
@@jeromepowell1873 No one needs to big Jokic up he does it on his own. Everyone is sick of lebron because hes the guy that has to rip everyone down to make his fraudulent self-aggrandizing self look better, so we call him out. Its that simple.
Jamal Murray is a bum who averaged 25ppg to Jokic 30ppg when they won a championship. The man who averaged 32ppg vs Lakers on 50/40/90 splits and kept hitting the biggest shots in every series. A man who Jokic couldn't win without in multiple postseason until his return. Jamal might be a bum but during that championship run, he was the bomb.
@@gugy68 it just reminds me of the disrespect Khris Middleton gets. Khris Middleton basically played the Jamal Murray role hitting all the big shots and free throws down the stretch during that Milwaukee Bucks run. When Giannis went down Khris carried. In the Hawks series Trae Young was cooking them all until Giannis went down Khris brought the series level. He also had 2 40 point games in the finals. Jamal Murray was the guy that destroyed the Clippers in the bubble dropping a daggering 40 points in game 7. Every shot was like a dagger. It was Jamal Murray who was the demon against the Lakers in that bubble only for AD to hit that big shot that killed the series. Jamal got injured, these dudes get rushed back. See Klay Thompson and KD who looks great on the surface but keeps getting swept. He's a 7 footer that will always make shots cos he's almost unguardable until it comes to postseason and he's useless. Jokic needed Jamal a whole lot to win that championship same as Giannis needed Khris but after that their number 2s injuries consumed them. It doesn't mean they are bums
@@MarkLaw13 it does mean they are bums they used to be not bums. jokic and giannis cant win if they stay as bums costing too much. its either move on or they settle for less like klay.
@@artix003 I agree but now all these teams are somewhat even now due to rule changes. Its on the front office to do a better job and take risks. They let Bruce Brown and KCP go for Westbrook. Bucks got Dame who's been complaining since he got there cos he wants to be on the Heat and even worse they went on to get Doc Rivers.
I have a feeling that Murrays playoff performance combined with his Olympic performance is a sign that he’s declining as a player due to lower body injuries. Thats bad news for the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic who I consider to be the best player alive
@@LeeTraviusMcKay I completely disagree with that. Westbrook should not start atp in his career. He’s turnover prone, he has a low basketball iq, he’s a bad free throw shooter, and a bad shooter period. And Jamal Murray is bad defensively. He’d be even worse guarding shooting guards because he’ll be guarding bigger players. Don’t mistake me for a Westbrook hater. I was a huge fan of his in his prime. He’s way past his prime atp tho. Playing Westbrook and Murray together would be a disaster. It won’t work.
@@gim12345 You’re right Westbrook has sacrificed a lot to stay in the league, but his flaws are still there. The issues with his game are still issues. I didn’t mention stat padding at all. Stat padding isn’t the problem. Turnovers and shooting is Westbrooks problem
As a Nugget fan, I love the Russ pickup. I want him to be our backup PG. He will bring energy off the bench and a guy who can get to the rim at will. Hope the Nuggets do that. But we need another SG since we lost KCP.
Murray fits Jokic well because what Jokic needed is a heavy scoring backcourt as he don't shoot a lot. I hope he could regain his bubble performance since the Nuggets needed that to win it all again. Right now, the Nuggets are in the same position as the Bucks after winning the ring. Losing a vital piece (Tucker and Brown). Weak off season acquisitions. Deteriorating 2nd star but needed to be paid(Khris and Murray). Old 3rd star with inconsistent production (Lopez and Russ).
@@rockysalvatore435 Agree, *not the same at all.* Giannis is Greek while Jokic is Serbian. Giannis is slender while Jokic is bulky. _(such a shallow response)_
I will never understand how you can blame people for getting injured. Injuries are random occurances that can happen to anyone at anytime. No player wants to get injured.
You can say the same about Giannis, the only time they won a championship is when Middleton stepped up his game like Jamal Murray. I know Giannis has Dame now but Dame is not the same player
How is Jamal Murray ass. Just because he has one bad postseason, all of sudden now he's ass. Yeah I'm not buying it. I would love to have Jamal Murray on ym team any day any week and I don't care if he's not an All-star. I can trust him in the playoffs. Just because he had one bad postseason doesn't mean he's trash
@dolby8334 Jamal Murray has more than 1 good postseason and he has more that 1 good season. This is why I can't stand oldheads like y'all and besides y'all say Jokic is the best player than why is Jamal Murray is known as the closer of the team and he's the one hitting all the big time shots and game winning shots
@Kings0424 how old are you? Jamal has been injured all post seasons but like 1. Him hitting game winners last post season was the only good thing about him. These games wouldn't get down to game winners if he wasn't playing like crap until the last shot. Jamal is the "closer" because Jokic does 90% of the work the rest of the game. The Nuggets have won post season games and many regular season games without Murray. Without Jokic, statistically, they would be the worst team in the West. You fail to see Jokic props up Murray's game. The dude has never been an all star. You don't like Jokic which is fine, but Murray would be even worse on any other team. He is on the same level as Dlo and maybe even worse
@dolby8334 Yeah yeah okay whatever. Jamal Murray is still a good player to me, in my opinion, and he's in my top 10 point guards in the NBA right now. I will never count him out during playoff time and I'm not gonna criticizing him because of 1 bad postseason. I'm not doing it. And to answer your damn question, I'm 19 turning 20 in October
@Kings0424 from when you were like 14-18 Murray didn't do anything great in the post season or was injured lol. The past 2 years he did amazing 1 post season run and bombed last year (due to injuries). He has a good clutch game shot. That is true. But he is a liability and not an all star caliber guard. You are a Kings fan, I would much rather have Fox than Murray. If Jokic was on the Kings, you guys would probably go to the finals.
I was planning to write to you to create this video, thanks brother. This just shows what a carry job did Jokic do in winning 2023 championship. Nuggets roster is plain ass.
@@mypeople1stwilliam No he won’t, because nobody is as good as MJ. The closest thing to him is Kobe, then Bill Russell as well as Magic/Kareem and Bird.
@@mypeople1stwilliam Look, Jokić with Pippen, Rodman, Kukoč, Harper, Grant, would mean many championships for him, that's for sure. He is yet to play with any player of this 5 caliber. I'm not saying that he is better than Jordan, but in this watered down league, with that kind of help, he would walk to championships
I wonder is '23 playoff Jamal is an aberration or he can get back to that. I would have liked him to rest this offseason. But he was ass after his injury early this past season. He should have sat more than he did to see if he can regain himself. I hope so, but am unsure if he ever will. This really shows the greatness of the Joker
I’m still sh*t at Spanish but one phrase I always know for sure without a doubt is “no se.” I feel really proud of myself anytime I can translate just that one part. Between high school and middle school, I took 7 years of Spanish and have nothing to show for it. “No se” always comes in clutch for me when I’m speaking. Anyway, sorry to get off topic. I hope this man heals and can move on from this.
Damn, I used to joke that any starting 5 with Jokic and Giannis would be hilariously overpowered, imbalanced and break the league. But when you look at the arms race with how stacked rosters are getting, the two of them on the same team would actually be reasonable and competitive in comparison. OKC, Boston and Minnesota rosters are insane.
The man was injured. He had an all-time playoff run in 2023 and 2020. Skap is just saying this to try and push the narrative that Jokic has no help to big up his accomplishments. Smh
Seems like the point “Jokic is insane” could be made without slandering Murray. He’s obviously not ass. And it’s so disingenuous with a young player to use his career averages in the regular season of 17, 5, 4 to summarize “who he is” instead of what matters, like how he’s at 25p, 5r, 7a on 46/40/91 in their last three playoff runs over 51 games lmao. Yeah, sure sounds like an “ass” sidekick to me 😂
Murray is one of the following options, with nothing in between: Superstar , who plays incredible or Bum who goes 3/17 a night... The options are always the same, but differs from game to game.. Either he is great or a bum... Nothing in between..
Id like to point the fact that for every athlete, taking part in their national team efforts is something very important, almost absolute honour, if able and healthy. Murray starts from the bench and plays little minutes, so its fine. Even if he helps with a couple of possessions to earn an olympic medal its still a help hes offering. I guess we have very different view about what is important in sports, athletes and participation in national teams. USA is lucky that Jordan, Kobe the all hated LeBron and everyone in between never had your mentality to say fuck it we chillin, no national team.
For the 2023 playoffs he was phenomenal. There is no denying that. Other than that he has literally been nonexistent due to injury or awful by and large last season. I would have been fine with it at this point if he at least came to camp healthy. What he is doing right now with the Olympics is crazy.
We also can’t forget about the bubble playoffs where he went off and helped the Nuggets come back from TWO 3-1 deficits against the Clippers and the Jazz. Yes I know it was the bubble but that’s still insane to do cause no other team in the bubble did that once let alone twice! Injuries have really taken away Murray’s true potential especially in 2021 and 2022 where Jokic was basically on his own with a G league squad. Hopefully he can come back better this upcoming season cause Jokic and the Nuggets definitely need it!
At least Murrays wanting o play for his country and likely trying to use these Olympics to get back into form, but he should have just rested this summer
If anything this might just be a proof that without Jokic Murray would be much worse. AG revived his career next to the Joker. Bruce Brown was exceptional for them in 2023 championship run, and right after he left Jokic, he became much worse even though he got a bigger role and minutes.
Jokic has won an MVP every year for the last four years (if you include Finals MVP) . When is the last time someone did that...Bird, Magic,??? This is why the postseason is important, but it isn't everything. After all, the regular season is a larger sample size albeit in lower pressure games and against generally weaker competition.
I give Lebron somewhat of a pass...his 1st stint in cleveland teammates were straight ass hot dog water. He would have ended up like kevin Garrnet or something.
I am a Lakers fan! You call sale this b.s. to people who don't watch or know basketball. Jokic is an amazing player. But Denver would not have 1 title if it was not for Murray. I have the receipts! Murray is the player who killed off my Lakers at the end of a lot of the playoff games against my Lakers, whom many experts believe, would have won these championships. ....go back and watch these playoff series.
luka made the wcf 2 years ago you can ride jokic without downing luka whose on a better trajectory than any player in nba history he’s 2 years from his prime and now has a solid team around him to start his 7th season
Murray should just come off the bench instead of starting to help the bench scoring since the nuggets barely made any improvements for production off the bench. Murray started his nba career as a bench player much like jokic and maybe coming off the bench can rejuvenate how he plays to see if he can be the same murray before he started dealing with injuries. Ag, mpj and the rest of the players such as the starters and role players have been too inconsistent and the nuggets need decent and consistent role players both for the starters and off the bench. Deandre jordan has already declined and not the same player that he used to be. Zeke nnaji played better and shot the ball better before he altered his shot and how he shot the ball. When zeke nnaji altered his shot, he is looking like ben simmons bricking shots since the shot is so slow and always off looking when he trys to shoot the ball, he looks like he can't make up his mind between shooting the ball or passing it and he is less focused on shooting the ball compared to the first time he played for the nuggets. Zeke nnaji altered his shot which looks like he is trying way too hard instead of following the necessary repetitions and fundamentals of shooting the basketball, it's like he forgot how to shoot the basketball. Nowadays, zeke nnaji is a better rebounder than shooting the ball anymore. It's gotten to the point that I trust shawn marion shot over zeke nnaji. The nuggets lack consistency since michael malone is very selective about who he chooses to play during certain parts of the regular season and very nit picky in the playoffs.
@@rockysalvatore435 you acting like they ain't good. Also add Aaron Gordon and Micheal Porter Jr to that too. I meant to say solid team not stacked my bad
He's a Jokic merchant, the tape speaks for itself. Murray can only play off of screens and no one is more threatening in a 2 man game than Jokic, the amount of space Murray gets to operate off PnR's is hilarious. He's Dangelo Russel with better PR.
There are plenty of injury prone players playing for the USA but I don't see anyone complaining about them owing their allegiance to their NBA team first
He's not an ass, but just not good enough to provide consistent support to Jokic. He definitely must stay humble about that max extension and focus on having a decent season, both from pov of availability and output.
Jamal Murray has also apparently shown his true colors and turned into a punk after getting spanked by the Timberwolves. I get that losing sucks but I thought he would have had more class than to throw shit onto the court and potentially injure someone badly. I lost a lot of respect for Jamal after this past postseason…
