Pocs músics tenen la capacitat de generar sensacions, evocacions i somnis amb el seu instrument en solitari com ho ha fet l’extraordinari Marc Ribot. Músics com Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Vinicio Capossela o John Zorn l’han tingut en nòmina perquè enriquís els brodats de les seves costures sonores. Ribot també s’ha manifestat per compte propi amb projectes únics com el seu tribut a Arsenio Rodríguez amb Los Cubanos Postizos, el desafiament als límits del free-rock amb Ceramic Dog o les confluències de la black music amb la proposta de The Young Philadelphians que es va poder veure en la darrera edició del Festival de Jazz de Barcelona. Al Jamboree serà el torn de redescobrir-lo tot sol davant el seu instrument, un autèntic privilegi que no convé desaprofitar.

@@simonesa1vatori hahaha i don't doubt that Simone ! But i meant, are those songs from an especific record of ribot's works? I know Petro is a classical song from Frank casseus since u wrote it down, but the other two i dont know it

@@franciscomendez8863 yes, he recorded Petro on the Casseus' record. Body and soul was on the "don't blame me" album. I've grown accustomed to her face has been part of his solo set since long, together with many other standards. I've seen him live last year, just acoustic guitar, and it was one of the best things I've ever seen. He just put his ear on the guitar and let the music flow for one and a half hour
