@@adrianperry8352 Barnes played on uncovered pitches, they can't be compared. Laker and Truman fair, but they also played in different eras as well and for nowhere near as long/as many games. If people use Sachins longevity as an argument for his greatness then why not Anderson.
Brother I'm already devastated the moment I heard he's retiring. No one can ever come even close to what he has achieved in test cricket. Such legends take birth only once in a generation. Hope he leads a happy life post retirement.😊
I hope and pray he will be playing another 5 years InshaAllah. I really like his bowling after Wasim Waqar Aamir Asif. Nowadays he is the only bowler like them and want to see his bowling long time because he is still doing effortlessly bowling . Thanks
I think the best thing Jimmy Anderson showed us was, you don’t have to have express pace to be a great bowler. It’s what you can get the ball to do that matters.
Well also to aid the batting that stokes wants from his batters he has had to remove some life and swing from the wicket. Which harmed his effectiveness
They should have let him have this full summer series to sign off and go past warne all time. But they didn't because warne died and they wanted him to remain second all time. Real scummy sad way to let Anderson leave the test team. I really don't like the England management at all
Everybody says about Steyn , Akhtar, Cummins, but Anderson is better test bowler than them . He is the greatest among the greats .Only McGrath can be compared with him in modern test cricket
@@samcurran2078🤣Have a word with yourself, and I'd watch who you're calling a fool, when you're straight up embarrassing yourself here. He's taken 92 wickets at an average of 27 in Asia. If you want averages for each country, here we go - In the UAE he averages 20 with 22 wickets, in Pakistan there's only been 2 tests he''s played in because no one's played there until 2022 and he played 2 Test averages 18, with 8 wickets, in India he's taken 44 wickets at 30. Outside of England Asia is where he's actually bowled best.😂 In the last 10 years he averages 23 in Asia The last 5 years, so since he turned 36, he averages 20 with 59 wickets away from home, at home he averages 28 with 66 wickets. He's actually been better away from home than in England these last 5 years, when most fast bowlers have retired.
