tuning the guitar a whole step down (D standard), as he has, does make a wound G more manageable..

I want to talk to his tech so bad. I am having pickup issues with mine and dont know what to do. Im told that its supposed to have 47.5mm pole spacing and mine has 50mm. I want to replace it but dont know what is the right spacing to buy.

Angel Martinez Epiphone did a reissue of these. You can find them just about any place that sells guitars.

I mean... so he found the guitar with a wound G on it... you can do that to any guitar. What am I missing here? I love the guitar, but he's acting like if you didn't string it with a wound G it would disintegrate.
