I have so much respect for James Blunt as an artist and as a man. He is one of the few who haven't sold out. Stuck to his love for music with passion and emotion and with variations that didn't make him a one trick pony. You can feel his emotions are real if you watch any of his live performances. I still remember when You're Beautiful came out and the world went gung ho over him. And no sir he wasn't meant to be a one hit wonder though he might have gone under the radar since. He is not bound by thirst for money or fame. Doing his own thing and oozing with creativity. Respect.
This shall always be mine and my partners song. I remember sharing this with him during his long stay and watching the joy seeing his first firework display before cuddling up and enjoying the show. The fact it is a British guy going through Colorado which is where he lives and I have had the privilege of visiting just makes it feel like it was made for us.
Your mouth is a revolver Firing bullets in the sky Your love is like a soldier, Loyal 'til you die And I’ve been looking at the stars For a long, long time I’ve been putting out fires All my life Everybody wants a flame, They don’t want to get burnt And today is our turn Days like these lead to... Nights like this lead to Love like ours. You light the spark in my bonfire heart. People like us-we don’t Need that much, just some- One that starts, Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts This world is getting colder. Strangers passing by No one offers you a shoulder. No one looks you in the eye. But I’ve been looking at you For a long, long time Just trying to break through, Trying to make you mine Everybody wants a flame, They don’t want to get burnt Well, today is our turn Days like these lead to... Nights like this lead to Love like ours. You light the spark in my bonfire heart. People like us-we don’t Need that much, just some- One that starts, Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts Our bonfire hearts Our bonfire hearts Our bonfire hearts You light the spark People like us-we don’t Need that much, just some- One that starts, Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts Days like these lead to... Nights like this lead to Love like ours. You light the spark in my bonfire heart. People like us-we don’t Need that much, just some- One that starts, Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts People like us-we don’t Need that much, just some- One that starts, Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts Thank you for reading. I record covers of popular songs. I appreciate it if you listen to my channel! 😊
This one has always hit deep. Brings up the stuff you don’t want, but you do at the same time so you can cry because it feels good. It’s hurts so much that it almost feels good. Love and respect to all of you.
I can agree on that. I used to listen to him as a kid. Satellites was the first song I've heard by him, really fills me up with nostalgia. Respect to you as well for listening to this hidden gem!
3 days ago I played this for my 12 yr old son. He asked me to play this to wake him up for school from now on. He said it gives me hope that things will get better in the world and makes me wake up with a smile. 😊
Trev S Wow..never knew. Thank you very much for passing this on. By the way, don't know if you took offense at the use of "Kid" This was not meant as anything derogatory or whatever. At my age, anyone under 40 is a kid, an affectation if you will...and many a day, I wish I could again be referred to as a kid.
robert glenn Not offended at all Robert just made us smile - you can probably find pics of him with his guitar on a warrior personnel carrier trundling along some god forsaken road in Bosnia on google
Trev S And he was an officer? I wasn't aware of his experience in Bosnia let along serving. I took in a Bosnian refugee during the war and his stories were sickening to listen to. I'll check out the pic you mention.
My video for Bonfire Heart premiered yesterday! The track is also available on iTunes (UK & Germany are pre-order only for now!): smarturl.it/bonfireheart
I just visited my former home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming seeing old friends and reminiscing. I heard this song right before the visit, and someone mentioned the video was filmed in Wyoming. On the drive out of town I pulled up the music video and choked back tears as I saw James Blunt photograph my beloved Tetons in the video. It's so bittersweet to leave. I listened to this song for nearly 13 hours straight on the long drive home.
Aw, this was an amazing experience. I am grateful to be a part of this video. Thank you to James Blunt and his amazing crew. All filmed within my stomping grounds 😊
I was not at the wedding, I was filming with James and the crew and we totally crashed the wedding reception! James was so kind to include them in the end of the video. Totally not planned at all! It was amazing!
Katie Tufte it made for a more unique touch to an already artistic video, after being a James Blunt fan for so long, I can’t believe it took me so long to find his more current music. I have had his first album for as long as I can remember, I am starting to love his new music too. Sounds like that was a fun day, I love when things just fall into place like that.
Katie, thank you for being part of it too... there is a great story about the filming of the video and the coincidences of the things lining up for a great video. James Blunt is a class act and decent human being, which I am sure you discovered while you were part of this awesome video. For those of us who live in the USA in parts like these in Wyoming and Idaho or Oregon or wherever in our great country where the real people are, we welcome you all to come and see what the real America is.
I remember watching this video on the day it launched on RU-vid. Today, rewatching it, I recognize it's one of the best music videos I've ever seen. Simply marvelous, eye-tearing. With the music fitting perfectly. Amazingly done, Blunt.
This song means a lot to me and I’m only 14 because I have been told stories that have been passed down from my father when he was a kid and I kinda wish it was still like that in some ways and the meaning of this song to me is huge. If you listen to certain parts of this song you can hear it saying how in the past it was more simple and every one got along with each other and it was more calm too When I pass I want this to be played at my funeral I love this some ❤️
I visited my best friend in the world last weekend. We live a bit far from each other, but we have still managed to meet every once in a while. This weekend he told me he is moving to another country because of work and family. I obviously support him in every aspect of life and I am happy he is doing great. On the last day of my visit we were driving around and made a trip to a nearby town. This song came up on the radio. I hope we didn't see each other for the last time. We have known each other for almost 10 years.
This song reminds me of a man I met almost 5 years ago and felt something I have never felt before. This spark that light my heart. We are currently married for over a year and still feeling that fire within our hearts
I have tried that in my life. I have tried giving the flame around like candies ... got burned in the end. And as a result, started burning everyone, everything around ... what a situation?! when others get scared of the FIRE :D I love the fire ...
my mother and I used to always sing this song in the car, until we just kinda lost sight of it now I finally found it again and we sang it in the car crying because life has been rough lately but this song is still just as beautiful :)
Absolutely fabulous. I love this video. I love watching the honest expressions on the people in the video. They really must have appreciated James Blunt being there. 99 percet of celebrities don't bother doing something like this. No hollywood garbage here.
your bonfire heart ..never dies jenny..never dies .....hoy 16 junio 2021 escucho en ingles español solo pienso otra bonita cancion blunt,su letra..su significado..su musica ..su ritmo..su sentimiento...
This world is getting colder strangers passing by No one offers you a shoulder no one look you in the eyes Its 2022 now and thats more true than ever…sad
I feel so much elated after hearing this song. The peace begins seeing him ride his bullet into the openess❤️ Finding happiness in smallest things of your life.
"Your mouth is a revolver firing bullets in the sky Your love is like a soldier, loyal till you die And I’ve been looking at the stars for a long, long time I’ve been putting out fires all my life Everybody wants a flame, but they don’t want to get burnt And today is our turn"
The song is fine, the video is great. I've traveled a few times across the USA, not on a motorcycle, though I'd love to do that. Each time I left I had nothing but time, I had a destination in mind but nothing waiting for me when I got there but still more than where I was leaving. I took back roads and long detours, some scenic some not. I drove paved roads, dirt roads, logging roads, mud roads, beach roads, county roads, mud roads, ice roads, short roads, and some roads that seemed like they would never end. But no matter the road, at every stop, I found good people and often made a friend. It's easy in todays world to think everyone is out to get you, that the world is full of craziness and hate, that Americans aren't good people anymore. I don't know about the rest of the world but I do know a bit about the people of America and from my experiences you don't need to worry. From coast to coast, from Canada to the Gulf, every place I stopped at I found decent, friendly, hardworking and caring people. People who offered help to others, who fed people who were hungry, people who shared their campfire and a beer with me, who made me laugh, some who even shared a good cry with me. I saw loving families and groups of close bonded friends, I saw Americans of all colors and walks of life, I met poor people and rich people, city people, country people, happy people, sad people, young, old, and yes I even saw some mean people. Truly, very few of those, and I suspect for the most part I just cought some of them on a bad day. Anyway, America is not what you see on the news, it's not full of hate, rage, or riotous fools. Yeah, there are pockets of that here and there, but overall, all out there, there's just so very much more love than hate. That hasn't changed and it won't and here's why I know: Because of you.
I used to dislike this song for some reason. But after listening to it while driving and reading the lyrics , i now appreciate this song very much because it is a love message to everyone in the world.
down a Teton Valley side road in a topless Jeep, hair whipping in the wind. They pose with Blunt at a deserted Spud Drive-In. The motorcycle posse rumbles along with Blunt in front of the mountains in Grand Teton National Park and over Togwotee Pass.

2 years ago, my ex girlfriend showed me this song. Just a month or so later we broke up. It's an amazing song and it means so much to me. Every part of me regrets breaking up. It was the greatest love I've ever had. All of my heart always will and still loves you, Lisa.
Beautiful 2018 and still remember this song I love because my grandma loved this 2 years. Ago and 2 years later I go to her grave and listen to this and I know she loves it
