During the recording the only person not crying was his dad and he calmly said to james"Im still here" after the song ended. The record company wanted to clean up the track where james voice breaks a bit.. He refused to do it. Im glad he stood his ground, it is so powerful with his voice in its raw state. 🤧🤧
James Blount ( Blunt ) must of seen some horrific sights whilst a Captain in the British Army in Kosovo ....singing this to his Father Colonel Charles Blount ....must of been one of the hardest things he's ever done
yeah his dad was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease and at the time of recording that video he had 11% kidney functionality. thankfully after the video got released he did get a kidney transplant so if nothing else James has more time with him. whether he's cured or not remains to be seen.
just a random very intelligent drake I’m so happy he got a transplant. We don’t hear much over here in the US about his personal life he has always been very private about personal like which I appreciate because in interested in his music.
Sassy you gave a excellent reaction. You are right he has a very nice voice and this is a beautiful song but it is so sad. It is very hard to listen to the whole song without crying.
😭 I’m sure that was hard to watch and listen to with you still going through the grieving process. I know for me music always helps and songs like this put into words what I feel. James Blunt has some very sad depressing songs but he also has some wonderful lively stuff so I hope you so won’t shy away from listening to some of his other songs. 🥰♥️👍🏼

I knowned Blunt for his You´re Beautiful. But now when i found this (through your channel) It has become very personal. My mother died of cancer she had to struggle with on and off for 8 years until it took her life. I was 22 when she got her first tumor. I lived with my parent's at that times so i saw how she got weaker and weaker over the years. It is very traumatizing for everybody in a family watching somone who has cancer.
It wasn't cancer sweetie it was kidney trouble! And needed a transplant and he got one and is still alive today. Thank God for all his miracles. And God bless you too

If you are not a James Blunt you are tone deaf. The whole world loves him and he tours every year. His Dad got a kidney transplant from a distant cousin. I hope he is doing well.
