I have a special place in my heart for this game. It was the only Bond game we got on Gen 7 that wasn't a Call of Duty clone. I await the day that the Bond series gets its own Arkham Asylum, a game which perfectly embodies the source material and brings a long period of critical acclaim and great sales.
They had another game planned as a semi-follow up to bloodstone post-Legends, but 007 Legends was such a generic fuck up it pretty much killed the license for a whole decade.
As much as I hate Spectre it at least acts as an unintentional closure to Bloodstone's ending. Nicole talking about "Him" can be chalked up to Blofeld for a player if they want. Still wish the planned sequel had come out. Raven Soft was making it, footage looked promising and they woulda done a gr8 job
Too bad they don't get the same mention as the actual film themes. All because they're for a video game, and these two songs hold their own, pretty well.
This and everything or nothing I think are the best bond games going. Although Quantum of Solace was good as well, however I think if it had the graphics of today it would be better.
I thought Legends had a great split screen multiplayer. Always pissed me off that was missing from QoS. Blood Stone is such a hidden gem though, you're right.
I don’t THINK we’ll ever get a James Bond game ever again. So, I guess this was our big goodbye to Bond games all along and it was great IMO. Still kinda holds up pretty well 11 years on. This game is a classic in my eyes. The game play was good, the story was good and the graphics are not bad. Also the music is just wow. I think this could easily be the next bond theme. Please Activision hive us a remaster of this or a new bond game at least.

Legends really should have been better. Rather than call it terrible, I'd say it's lukewarm. It sure does feel too much like a Call of Duty game & the cover system is dumbed down (Quantum & Blood Stone got that part right). I don't like how Legends' Skyfall content was time-locked DLC- I am sure it's because the licensors didn't want that part coming out too close to Skyfall's theater release. What Activision should've done is delay the PC/PS3/360 releases until the date of the Wii U version... then all 4 versions could've been complete out of the box.
I feel the third-person Bond games are better than the FPS's (Yes, Goldeneye included. Don't get your panties in a tizzie.) They seem to capture the spirit of the films better. They have better gameplay and better stories. Blood Stone especially deserves to be a film one day.

DarthCipient D*mm man if Rockstar receives the copyright for James Bond games (especially with GTA V Engine) it would be epic. But I believe they probably won't do it since they tend to be original and think of new and fascinating stories.
This game was good! It was nice to see a good third person Bond game again. Everything or Nothing will always be the best third person Bond game, but this, I think, was worthy of the Bond name.
No is not it was supposed to be a prequel of quantum of solace . why ? = here is the answer : you see James bond drive his dark grey 2008 DBS in quantum of solace because he got the car from greco at the beginning first level of blood stone that why he got the car. That means blood stone was before quantum of solace here's the timeline : (casino royale > blood stone > quantum of solace )

I know the Daniel Craig films are a modern take of the old movies incorporating Spectre again with a 21st century type threat but the villains just bore me, terrorism through wealth, ecosystems, cyber warfare, the only good one was skyfall. I miss the madness of Pierce Brosnan's villains

Screw Activision for destroying the hopes of the sequel and turning Bond into Call of Bond. I am glad they giving up rights for Bond. Bloodstone was amazing and they end up shutting them down and making Call of Duty James Bond Games.
Actually, I thought Eurocom's Goldeneye game (that came out the same day as Bloodstone if I remember correctly) was pretty good. Though I bet you are referring to 007 Legends because that game was horrible. Half-Baked shooter levels, a massively overpowered shotgun, no stealth, no interesting environmental interaction, and those fist fights had my friend and I laughing like crazy at how stupid they were. The action set pieces weren't even as good as the ones you get in Call of Duty games. Eurocom won me over with Goldeneye, but then turned around and made possibly the worst post-Goldeneye Bond video game (TND would be the other candidate). Bloodstone has issues, but I have played it through seven times. It's greatest triumph (to me) was the way it took the mark and execute mechanic from Splinter Cell Conviction, and reworked it to function in an action shooter. It's so satisfying to take down two guys standing next to each other, and then quick snipe two more. So BA. The take-down animations are also the best. They are so satisfying. Also the car levels rule, and it's impressive that they hold up well even without the gadgets that made car levels from EA era bond games so unique and fun.

Im a massive bond fan, seen all the movies, read some of the books and although I havent played all the games this one was my favourite before activision decided to get stoned and ruin it. The worst part is they had the sequel set up perfectly and now well never find out who nicole was working for or what the developers were going to do next. So disappointing.
Maybe she was working for Blofeld. Haha. In my opinion Everything or Nothing is the best of the Bond video games, at least in terms of giving you the full Bond experience (that caveat is needed so I don't get killed by Goldeneye fans, though I do like that game). If you have not played it you should try and get your hands on it. I still hold out hope for some sort of follow up to Bloodstone. The game engine is still out there, the Bond property is still pretty hot right now, and given how vague the ending was, writing a continuation wouldn't be hard for a new writer. That being said, if a new developer does something cool with Bond, I'm on board even if that means Bloodstone's big mystery will remain unsolved. (Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a throwback game that really plays up the cheesy gadgets and old school 60's setting, even if that meant not using any actors from the movies. Maybe throw in a casino scene where you play Baccarat or Texas hold'em, or maybe just try to make a skiing level that doesn't suck). I like the movies to be more grounded, but I like my Bond games a bit more over the top. Whatever, let's just hope 007 Legends isn't the last Bond game. What a terrible note to end on.
Media Musings Well personally I am getting sick of Goldeneye being talked about and people being pissed if you say a Bond game is better than it and everyone freaks out about it. So to me I love Goldeneye and its a amazing game but I no longer will talk about it as the best. I consider it a standalone because everyone expects people to say its the best so my favorite Bond game would honestly be a tie between Evertything or Nothing and Bloodstone. I think both games work and give it a Bond feel because they feel like a Bond film. Everything or Nothing more so. I never given Activision much credit for anything since CoD blew up because CoD is everything now. Goldenye remake was very fun but at the end of the day it felt like a CoD game with a Bond overlay. Bloodstone I give them credit for doing something with a Licensed title that they actually did something good with. But the problem was the marketing. They put all the money into marketing Goldeneye because Nostalgic sells more than something new. Bloodstone never got promoted like it should have been. I am a huge Bond fan. I have all the Bond games since The Duel (which was another amazing Bond game I loved alot) to 007 Legends and I first found out about Bloodstone when a guy at Blockbuster asked me if I wanted to look at the list of upcoming games to pre-order. At first I said no because I thought I knew everything being released that I wanted but I decided to take a quick look while he was charging me and there I saw 007: Bloodstone. I thought hmmm is this really a James Bond game or is this something that is completely unrelated to James Bond and have 007 in the title to make people think its James Bond. I asked him what does he know about Bloodstone and he didn't know any info about it so I said ok put me down for that one. 3 months later E3 comes around and it gets announced so I was like cool glad I preordered it. I picked it up on release day then got home I put it in my room then I went to work planned to play it later. I got texts from my brother who never been a big Bond fan and only plays sports games but yet for some reason he got interested in trying it and beat the entire game and I was surprised.
It's not that I don't get why people like Goldeneye. For many it's not a game, it was hours of fun with friends in the multi-player mode, an experience that no other Bond game can match because most Bond games aren't made for it anymore and online mutil-player is the new thing. That couch experience with the first functioning first person shooter on consoles was a one time experience. When talking about the legacy of Bond games in the broader context of gaming Goldeneye will always be the one that gets mentioned (and fair enough), but for me it (the Bond element) was improved on in later games. Everything or Nothing is freakin' awesome if you want the full Bond experience. Bond moments, a scoring system that doesn't suck, a decent third person shooting engine, gadgets, cars, and production values so good some call it the Bond movie of 2004. I love EON. I might have to take some issue with saying that Goldeneye was just a COD game with a Bond skin. The game was much less scripted than most COD titles, and had a decent sense of organic stealth built into it. I agree it didn't break the mold, nor did it have the fun bells and whistles of other Bond titles, but I still think it's better than some of the more recent COD campaigns. Oh, I knew about the game, but I'm a nutty gamer with no life so I tend to be on top of even obscure releases. I agree it flew very much under the radar and got almost no press. Most major gaming publications, didn't get reviews up until almost a week after the games release. Is the Duel worth doing? To me it just looks like a standard platformed with a dude in a tux who is supposed to be Bond in it. Is there more to it? Do you recommend it? Also you didn't like Legends right? If so we might be at an impasse, because I thought that game was kinda awful.
This definitely is not better than "Writing's on the Wall." In fact, "You Know My Name" from Casino Royale and "Skyfall" are very good. So for the most part, the modern Bond themes are quite successful.
This game along with Everything or Nothing and From Russia With Love are my reason why i prefer 3rd person for 007 games. I hope that IO Interactive 007 game is also a third person one.
An excellent theme. I'm a huge 007 fan (Fleming's books & the UA films) - "I'll Take It All" is most definitely worthy of inclusion in a film. I wasn't a fan of Joss Stone until I heard this.
I find it ironic that the game was the best bond game for me and had a good story for once and the ironry is it wasnt even based off a bond film.and music was great.But i realy like all bond films.
i second that. "Tomorrow Never Dies" for the PS1, "James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing" for the Nintendo Gamecube and PS2, and "007 Blood Stone" for the PS3 were the only third-person-view James Bond games we got :-( :-S . we need MORE of them, NOT *MORE* **FIRST-PERSON**-SHOOTERS!!! O_O
Love for a new bond game or maybe a remastered collection of bloodstone, everything or nothing, night fire and quantum of solace. I think it would sell well as most people still like the Bond game's and to do this would personally be amazing and would definitely buy.
it would also be (nion) impossible considering that the licensing for those games are split between EA, activision, Eon productions and (excluding eon since they own the movie license) since non of them own the license anymore it would be impossible to do. look at the golden eye n64 remaster rare made which was 95% finished before they tried to contact Activision (owners at the time) and nintendo (owners of n64 games source code) and since rare couldn’t get the license the remaster was cancelled. (luckily it paved way for the excellent perfect dark remaster)
