I grew up watching Sean Connery as James Bond. He was always my favorite. But Daniel Craig does a masterful job. I really enjoy watching his performances.
I grew up watching Pierce Brosnan as Bond :) And he will always be one and only for me, but Craig's Bond, with all his flaws and vulnerabilities, made it into my heart too.
@@Kaellig yeah at first I was also like this guy can't replace Pierce, who is still much sexier, sauve and charismatic. But it was his rawness, his stoic defiance, his tongue in cheek but not cheesy one liners that made him the best Bond for me. Even like "No, stay" when beating up goons, is funny, logical and apt. It wasn't Craig alone, the writers, directors, cameramen all went into making it the best Bond ever.
Me too. But after watching Casino Royale i got interested in Bond generally, so I started to watch all the movies. Most of them are quite good - excepting Thunderball and Moonraker 😅
Which means I should appreciate the representation of the character less? There's a navy seal on the Shawn Ryan podcast that bodied like 23 guys in a day Sometimes Art imitates life. You don't have to try to make people seem less than you because they appreciate something fictional. Take care. @@anthonyharmon9265
The fact that critics said he would be the “worst Bond ever,” that he wasn’t “handsome enough,” “too short,” “unappealing as a lady’s man,” “not worth watching on the big screen,” plus, whatever other cruel insult they could hurl at him, makes him being the absolute best Bond - EVER, all the more a sweeter accomplishment. Daniel Craig is officially the G.OA.T of Bonds. Point. Blank. Period. And there will NEVER be another that takes HIS place!
@@Kenobi_Cowboy there were a lot of James Bond series/interpretations. The first is Dr. No (search it on google). Daniel Craig wasn't the first James Bond, and he will most likely not be the last.
@@sasikumarv.k5136 Without a shadow of a doubt, this was and will be the best 007 of all. Yeah, I don't think he's dead, but I'm looking forward to the next film and I think we'll see him again.
Yeah man, they nailed it with that scene. I gotta say the music played a huge part too, at least for me. No surprise of course since the man behind it was the one and only Hans Zimmer. Maybe I've buried my feelings somewhere deep but that scene brought a tear to my eye and that is rarely the case especially with fictional stories. I tend to come back to the song that plays in the scene, it's a beautiful piece of music and something I would've never thought I'd enjoy 20 years ago as a teen who'd swear by heavy metal and heavy metal alone. Funnily enough I thought about this just this day. This movie, music, fiction books, even video games - the stories we dive in might be made up but the feelings are very real.
Would like the next bond to be a prequal to Craigs. As Craig's showed some of Bonds past. Would like to delve deeper into that, maybe it could be a trilogy starting with Bonds parents death, him being adopted by the Oberhauser family. His time in the Navy, then being trained as an agent, and the whole thing could end with him being sent on the mission Casino Royale starts with, where he's earing his 00 status.
This is top tier. The syncing of the beats with the action is on point. Keep doing these and Hollywood will call you. You should do Jason Bourne next 😎👍

If Antony Starr was 10 years younger and hadn't done homelander, he'd be a perfect successor to Daniel Craig. Watching him on Banshee is really close to what I see in Bond.
I feel that Daniel Craig's representation of James Bond was absolutely amazing. Best by far in my opinion. Really humanized the character in a fashion unlike we'd seen before. The juxtaposition of character defects with the range of exceptional skill sets portrayed was what made me such a fan of the Daniel Craig-era Bond presentations. Really really amazing work. After all of the discomfort and sacrifice, this body of work is something to be proud of in perpetuity. Thanks for giving us a template to attempt to emulate. You raised the bar considerably. #Ihaveahighschooleducation 💀♠️🎯
I’ve always been a “I like Pierce Brosnan the most because goldeneye” person but after watching all of Craig’s leading up to no time to die, I have to say he is my true favorite because I can relate to him. The loss and pain, tormented soul from all the trauma he’s been through and dark things he’s seen… I can’t relate to Brosnan flippantly waltzing his way through goldeneye after mowing down Russians at a record clip with an AKS-74u lol
