It's me again. Just want to add this, you know there were entertainers that didn't like him. I can understand not liking him for the way he abused and not trusting women. But we got to understand what he witnessed growing up and the fact that his mother abandoned him at the age of four. Think about it, how would it affect you. Seeing women cheating on their husbands while they're working and your mother abandoning you. Some were just jealous of his talent and ability to change music the way he did. The Godfather gave us all the courage to say we were proud to be black when he recorded, " Say it Loud " I'm Black and I'm Proud.

I'm going back to your statement now. I agree on the point that how he was raised in a very disgusting and bad enviroment. Eventhough he struggled with all of these things, he remains the best and these problems never stopped him. BUT, WHO are these entertainers that didn't like him. I mean give me examples! Because I personally never seen or realized another entertainer talking bad of him or hated him. I know there were some competetions with others like Little Richard, Tex and might be Elvis too. Even his same field (Funk) contemporaries like Clinton, Rick James, Sly or even Issac Hayes didn't say anything bad about him. Moreover, a lot of them praised him even in their songs. In addition, MJ and Prince never stopped revealing their love toward him. Maybe you can tell us some more about the entertainers who didn't like him!!

Have everybody seen the exit he did on Hollywood Palace, Phil Silvers was the host. The song he was singing was There was a Time. Don't think I will ever see a human being move their feet and body the way James Brown did again. You got people that can move but that's all. The Godfather danced not just moved, listen to his songs he called off the dances that he was doing. You never heard Michael Jackson, Prince, Chis Brown or any other entertainers do it. The Godfather just had a gift that no one else had or will ever have. We all got to remember the man was born dead and revived.

I saw Mr. James Brown in concert so many times, saw him in Berlin Germany while l was stationed there from 84-89. James Brown Gutbucket Funk, James Brown the funkiest man in Show Business, oh Yeah! The Hardest Working Man in Show Business, The Undisputed King Of Soul!!!!

A true showman, seeing him live was the thing ! A white friend of mine had to see him and went into bad area in Chicago in 60s to see James at the capitol theater ! At that time period he was only white guy in audience ! Couldn’t get anyone to go with him cause of high crime neighborhood but he just had to see him ! When he got home, he said it was well worth the risk ! Lol
