True performer. No auto tune, no lip sync, no bs. Kept the act going a long time. All live. An amazing band, and and amazing performance. He always made sure you got your money worth. Truly the God Father. Music is dead.
My uncle, Harley Beard, drove James, bus for 11 years. About 1968 when he played in Sanbernidino Ca. we went to the show, and myself, and my sister Lexie, got to be behind stag for the entire show, it was the first time I was ever at a concert show, and it was fabtastic. James and his back stag maniger Gertrud were so cool. He gave us some of his 8 track's tapes. Wish I still had them.
Damn 1968 is when they were really perfecting that sound that dominated in the early to mid 70s. Live at the Apollo Vol 2 was recorded round that time. Those shows were electrifying. "Say hey hey!! I feel alriiiiiiiiiight!!"
As a fellow musician (drummer/percussionist) myself, was inspired by Mr. James Brown's concert. The band and background singers were on point from the beginning and until the very end; exhibiting such an array of class and style. We the younger generation of musicians, singers and performers must exemplify similar traits. It allows me to increase my level of professional standards and intensity during a performance....... That's why is the "Godfather of Soul".
I have back pain and I'm been out of it physically for awhile. I put this on and started dancing in my own way. I have not stopped " moving and grooving".I absolutely love James brown and the whole band is incredible, especially that sax player. Dear God thank you for bringing him into this world. Embrace and bless him for all he has done for his musical healing...
Wow, got me going 72' I had a few of his albums when times were livable. Hope more people wake up 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Good days ! Some Good real no backing tracks. What the heck has happened to music? One of my favorites in the day. The one with Michel Jackson and prince, followed Prince never went to a concert. Glad they left there legacy for all to jive !

Except the original JB's were more disciplined, tighter, more talented. These guys are ok, but not as awesome as this - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5eoSXpNZD9o.html
