This live performance of Soul Brother #1 performing "Mother Popcorn" with the band SITTING DOWN and STILL managed to stay tight is unbelieveable! When the band changed from Mother Popcorn to I Don't Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing had me speechless. That was the CRAZIEST switch of a song you will ever witness live! Tightest band ever!
this whole band is AMAZING Richard "Kush" Griffith - trumpet Joe Davis - trumpet Fred Wesley - trombone Alfred "Pee Wee" Ellis - alto saxophone Maceo Parker - tenor saxophone St. Clair Pinckney - baritone saxophone Jimmy Nolen - guitar Alphonso "Country" Kellum - guitar Charles Sherrell - bass guitar Clyde Stubblefield - drums
I’m assuming the other drummer next to Clyde is John ‘Jabo’ Starks and other tenor saxophonist is Eldee Williams because at the time Pee Wee didn’t join the band until later
He as well sang Georgia on my mind the same time on this TV show (one of the best version). I can't find the video anymore, if someone have it please post it
