When is Avatar 2 coming out? I want that Mercedes.

It's not about the concept car that you'll see on the road but the individual components like the organic battery, projected display, LED lighting and Intuitive control.. just like GPS, large touch screen control centers and heads up display. All these things started as a concept.. found their way into military application and on into today's automobiles.

LOL. A car with an awesome infotainment system to keep you distracted as you drive? Lucky it detects biometrics for the inevitable MVA. Some good ideas expressed in the car. From a safety and design perspective Mercedes was way ahead of the curve decades ago dispensing with the steering wheel in its concept cars. Console mounted controls are just so much more practical and safe.

If they are so concerned about carbon emissions, they need to make sure that everyone can have access to these cars in every market.

Even if something remotely like that concept vehicle were ever to come to market, the handful of people that could purchase it are not going to be sufficient to do anything to help the environment over the long haul. In other words, pure marketing nonsense. God forbid they try to build an electric vehicle for the masses. No, let's just make this foolishness to promote a movie and an expensive car company at the same time.

But now with one crazy looking automobile... the thing reads your heartbeat...etc but still cool nonetheless. The concept art in Avatar 2 looks amazing though... this makes it seem like this film is dropping this holiday- dec 2020 but still 2 years out...

Unless they actually have a working prototype and are showing it I dont get the point of showing this pretty car. I mean like it just looks like it's to build hype. Can it drive, can it do even a fraction of what it does. So many of these functions make them look futuristic without any teeth. I will much rather watch a self driving car with a mess of wires then another pretty car

It's unlike anything you'll ever going to see ever in real world. Stop making prototypes and start mass producing real cars for real people. That is not a car, is not the future, that is a prop to promote a movie. A true waste of time and resources.

Why is it that Tesla, of all car companies, seems to be the only one that delivers previews of cars, and then the car that gets actuall produced is either identical or even better. This mercedes "thing" will obviously never be produced in this form - so why even bother? Can it even move? I can't imagine those wheels with lights in the tires can actually turn, never mind how close the bodywork comes to the ground by the wheel itself. What's the point of this? Really?
