The point is that the awareness of it was there. Regardless of evidence. These things are always kept secret hence why it is hard to find any solid evidence of what is really going on... Like to avoid official "sanctions" that outlawed such research to make a virus more virulent to humans in the US as regards this research. This guy was sent as top official to China immediately after the Covid virus likely leaked from the lab (FBI assessment) for the "investigation' by WHO - whom I would not trust to treat a cold.
