Maestro James Conlon, Richard Seaver Music Director of the LA Opera, has been named Regents' Lecturer at UCLA for winter 2013 and gives a series of three lectures with musical examples in honor of the 200th anniversaries of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner, the two greatest opera composers of the 19th century.
Co-presented by UCLA's Department of Comparative Literature, Department of Musicology, UCLA Opera, Herb Alpert School of Music, and the Regents of the University of California.
