i think he meant in 2012 (which is before it was the year 2015) Donald Trump wasn't running for President. You see... 2012 was before 2015. Donald Trump started his big run for president in 2015. Again, 2012 was before 2015. So when James said "back when he wasn't running for president", James meant 2012 was before 2015 and the story being told happened in 2012... so Donald Trump wasn't running for president at the time. I'm sure if you read this a few times you can understand.

Dont care what you think of him in politics, but the man did get alot of laughs, was good at what he did in entertainment...and has ability to capture peoples attention. I love this clip, and again, not getting political, but in 2012, those people had fun with it...

Hang on, slow down Bill. He has only been doing the 12.37am show since 2015. Four years isn't enough time for experience to settle in. I say give him another five years and then maybe he can take over from Colbert - that's if Colbert ever decides to quit 11.35?
