Three cheers for James for stickin' to his guns!!! He obviously knows what works best for him! I am not a fan of heavy metal, but when James performs it, I become a believer!!! He has so much passion for his music, and it translates into phenomenal, spellbinding performances!!! You rock, James!!! I hope you go all the way!!!
Best performance ever on American Idol, hands down.Now, the show is total horseshit with ratings at an all time low. They need more James Durbins on the show. There are many out there. I am glad James had the balls to do this.

This has got to be one of the greatest performances I have ever seen on American Idol and that James followed his heart and what he felt. Compliments to the great Zakk Wylde for accepting the honor to rock this song for James !!!!!!!!
Then why are you even watching the videos, go elsewhere. . . .I am an old lady grandma who loves Durbin's metal or whatever genre he sings. His voice is always spot on, he is amazing. He can do whatever he wants and he does it so well.
Absolutely awesome performance I / couldn't believe I was hearing such powerful, amazing music on American Idol! I still say James Durbin should have won that season. James rocks!
This guy is just great. He's got the power in his voice, and he can hit those Rob Halford notes and everything. And when Zakk Wylde came out with him, I just fucking lost it. And when Randy said Avenged Sevenfold, I lost it even more. (My favorite band, duh. >u>)
James himself got Zakk Wylde on the show. It had nothing to do with the producers of Idol. James had just met and become friends with Chris Jericho by then and asked him to ask Wylde if he would do it. The rest is history, as they say.
James came before Adam. First true rocker was Bo Bice a throwback to the 70's then David Cook more of a 80's-90's type rocker then James more of a heavy metal 90's rocker. Then Adam who was the best vocalist of them. Then finally I think the best of them for rock would have been Daughtry
15 year old? we who lived the 80´s considered all bands playing hard rock, metal of all kind to be metal. Us against the world. Europe or Slayer did not matter.
And then he got to perform with Judas Priest. It was like he woke up one day and asked himself, "What can I do to make American Idol kick as much ass as possible?"

@bayrelyig well Pantera kicks ass, and i listesten to them but they are Grrove/Thrash metal, and she is actualy right, because that was realy 70s/80s Heavy Metal in its pure form!
He belongs to Supernova Rock Star Competition not a Rating Based American Idol Pop Star/ Country/ Whatever Competition. I wish Tommy Lee, Gene Simmons, or Bret Michaels comes with "Rock Star Competition". He would be certainly another Lucas Rossi .Probably even better:)

When we saw tonight's episode and James get kicked off, nobody in the house could believe it. I mean, the 3 that are left are def. talented, but I was sure it would be Lauren or Haley going home today, not James!
