In my country, some people call Hollywood blockbusters "canned", because they're mostly treated by the companies as mere products. And, when you treat art like product, you'll think people will want to watch the same thing over and over again, especially if it makes a lot of money. This is why there are "fatigues". And the companies are aware of that, they do it on purpose in order to make to earn as much money as possible in the shortest period of time. They dry the well because they know they'll find another one.
I think it's only bc these characters have so much story to tell, and since these aren't origin stories people want to know what's canon, how long these characters have been around, etc. this kinda applies to Marvel but with DC it's far more common and understandable (with all the reboots and reshuffles the comics experience)
is it there one thing could good movie another making universe is actually successful everything stand on its own however how make casual audiences watch stuff like authority or swamp thing without connecting to something bigger? if movies like gotg or antman not connected main mcu at the time they done a lot less commercially speaking
mrroerts4057 again Gunn never can make a universe work , if everything is able stand on its how get people invested into lesser properties without that interconnective? if shows like swamp thing or CC stand on their people less like check out this same problem phase 4 and 5 of marvel.
@@harryrao4296 hi the movies are standing on their own while again they are telling a story of the bigger universe ( this means the tones will change even if the movies are in one universe ) the tone will not have a formula like in MCU
@@michaelkaggwa4915 and tones change for mcu phase 4 aswell this nothing new , falcon winter soilder wanda vision eternals and black panther have different tones again dc not breaking ground here.
I know it's weird the idea of Bruce being just a couple of years older than Clark while also having Damian in his life and maybe Dick being Nightwing already but i think that's only because we're used to the idea of Bruce starting his career as Batman during his late 20s like many canonical stories has shown before, but what if that's different in this new universe? What if this Bruce Wayne started being a vigilante early in his life, maybe at 19 or 20? That way would make more realistic the fact that Nightwing and Damian can exist even if Bruce is still in his early 30s.
You don't need to extend his career and cut his training short in order to make Damien make sense. He could've easily conceived Damien before he finished his training. Let's say he was 22, so 3 years before he became batman. By the time Bruce is 34-35, Damien is already 12 years old, fully trained and ready for Brave and the Bold.
I totally agree with you Bobba, on editing the film along the way while your still filming. That's exactly what I do over here at BGIL studios. Because like you said, you can catch something that might not work that you thought would pre-filming
Am i the only one who wants Pattinson continue in Gunn's DCU? He's the perfect age right now, by the time the Brave and The Bold come out, he will be in his early 40's. Or, make Dick Grayson the Batman, with Bruce is missing or something.
Hey, I don't know if you catch up but new information for the Wonder Woman game came out. We have the basic telling us who the main villians are, the Nemesis Sistem with enemies and allies, the premise of the story and traversal. Although I think you shouldn't post any images from the concept arts because I've seen people in RU-vid get in trouble for that, so maybe you could just talk very briefly about the subject, in that way you don't get any troubles with Warner.
I mean if I’m being honest all I really care about is that we get an awesome Batman story or Bat-family story. Way to many people get hung up on goofy things like age and training time and all that. It’s comic book stories man anything is possible and let’s just try to enjoy it!
I cant wait to see what the hawkgirl costume looks like. Isabela merced is one of my favorite new actresses and i cant wait to see what her performance and fight choreography would look like.
Tbh, if they do cast Bruce early, I imagine it would only be him. Maybe Dick if he can somehow appear before then. Cass if we want to be ambitious, but they would have to wait until they were much, much closer to the movie. Mainly because the actor needs to pass as 10-12. But I would assume we’ll get any casting for the family is in the build up to the movie. I would also assume Bruce will likely be between 36 and 42, but also consider how time works in real life and they Superman’s actor will age as it goes on. I am really interested to see how the sound tracks work. I love the music and sounds.
Logically and narratively speaking, we need a Bruce Wayne around 40 years old. I think people obsess over the age of characters, but it's so all over the place in the comics that people almost have a need to make sense out of it. I mean think about it, Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon have been in their early 20's for like 40 years now, lol. It's also a logic thing. People seem to think that Bruce Wayne can have all these classic character arcs and train all of these wards and sidekicks and still be a man in his early to mid 30's. It's just not logical. It's been firmly established that Bruce Wayne left Gotham City at 18, the turned when he was 25 and set out as Batman a year later making him 26 years old in Batman: Year One, 27 in Year Two and 28 in Year Three when he met Dick Grayson, who's around 12 years old. Bruce became Dick's legal guardian which takes a little time, then he had to train Dick which would take six months to a year at least, so Dick was likely 13 years old when he first put on the Robin suit. Dick left and formed the Teen Titans at 18, then had a falling out with Bruce hand became Nightwing when he was 19, so Bruce was would have been at least 35 when 13 year old Jason Todd became Robin. Again, you have to give time for training or it just isn't logical storytelling. Jason was around 14 when he suited up as Robin, and was killed by the Joker a year later at 15. Batman was solo for a year and a half after Jason's death before Tim Drake became Robin at age 14. Tim was Robin for 3 years before Damian came along.
I highly recommend Brandon Sklaner to play the DCU Batman since it is a 10 year project. I don't see Jensen or Alan as Batman for the DCU due to thier age even with CGI. So personally prefer Brandon Sklanor as Batman he is the right age and he looks perfect for Bruce Wayne and Batman
5:15 Like you've mentioned before, they don't have to adapt directly from comics to film. Batman has been around for 80 years, and many characters were only created after others had moved on. Batman could be in his mid-30s and he could've already trained everyone they want to include in the DCU Batfamily and have Damian joining now. All of the Robins were kids when they started as one, doesn't really make sense for them to be patroling with Batman every night and being trained on top of all that. Dick and Jason could've been recruited around the same time, Dick maybe a year or two earlier and they've taken turns who gets to go out with Batman, they have to concentate on their education too. Jason's death could be the reason why Dick and Bruce drift apart and the former would become Nightwing. Around this time Bruce and Talia could have a fling if not earlier. Years go by, 5 if not a couple of years more, Bruce and Dick have reconnected over the past few years and now Tim joins the crusade. A couple more years and Talia introduces Bruce and Damian. This timeline kinda depends on when Bruce and Talia spend the night together. Batman could've started as Batman around his mid-20s and a couple of years into it Dick joins the party, Jason a little later... This timeline would make Batman to be in his mid to late 30s. They don't have to be faithful to the comics because the timeline doesn't make a lot of sense for the reasons I mentioned at the start.
id honestly prefer all the previous robins to be moved on, like id love to see dick as nightwing, Tim as red robin, and jason as red hood and all of them have the chance to somewhat mentor and or give advice to Damien about being a robin throughout the dcu timeline. I have been reading some teen titans comics with red robin in them lately and been loving them and that more grown up version of tim drake, we have never got a tim drake as red robin in live action yet so that would be really cool.
Exactly Boba! These idiots who think Gunn will cast Jensen ackles or friggin Richtson make me laugh! The guys are in their 40s!!!! The trinity should be the same age!
I haven’t even watched yet and I know this shit is gonna be gas Alright I’ve watched, I don’t know why but I believe the rumor about them wanting to do The Batman part 2 and 3 back to back. It just seems like it makes the most sense and James Gunn is really letting Matt Reeves cook in the oven
My issue with what James Gunn is doing with the new Batman is that he's skipping all the way to the middle of Batmans career rather than doing an origin or at least Batman Year One story. I understand why DC is doing this. But if this is an older Batman who's already on his second or third robin, that means you're skipping over most of his best stories and we'll never get to see them adapted on the big screen. eg. You can't do a Death In the Family movie if Jason is already dead. That and I don't think an audience will be receptive to just being dumped into an already formed DC cinematic universe w/o the slow drip deliberate buildup of lore, characters, etc. that the MCU had.
I’m conflicted on the age of Batman. I do think a happy medium AKA prime Batman would be the best route (after all the most recent iterations have been old Batman and year 2 Batman) but I like the brotherly bond between Batman and supes. Not saying that won’t work if they’re 8 years apart because siblings have all sorts of age gaps but it’s certainly easier to pull off if they’re 1-2 years apart in age
Well if all goes well, we’d want the actor plying Bruce/Batman in the role for the next 10-15 years AT LEAST. So casting 40+ sounds like a bad idea. Switching to a non-Bruce version of Batman in less than 15 years sounds like a bad idea… look how Marvel is doing without Cap and Iron Man…
Looks a bit soft to me but maybe he could pull it off. Definitely has alot of the necessary features for a Bruce Wayne, the main question is how's his Batman?
Sounds like you guys are a lil nieve about the batman.. im takin bets on the reason it was delayed again is because gunn wants it to end and reeves is rewriting it to end with part 2
I think we'll go from Dick to Damien, don't think Jason or Tim will make it into the movie. Barbara, not sure.... would be awesome though. Love Batgirl.
There a 2 branches of fake news about Gunn: the one that messes with snyderfans' feeling, and the one that taps into the fear of fans of Reeves' Batverse. The first one will fade with time, but the last one will be exist as long as there is a Batverse apart from the DCU (or while people keep taking the bait).
I might be in the minority, but I hate the new Superman‘s chest logo it looks like a yellow no Superman sign. I understand trying to switch it up, and things must change to move forward. However, it looks ugly. Just an opinion.
ALAN RITCHSON SHOULD BE the Brave and the bold BATMAN. He has the right physique and he is super intelligent and the perfect age for this Batman considering he is a father to Damian. 40 is the right age. Just watch Reacher, and imagine him wearing the cowl. Its perfect
*I’ve been on board with everyone of Gunn’s decisions* but Andy should NOT be in charge of BATB if they get Batman wrong this universe is gonna get clowned to high heaven.
Yeah I don't wanna hate on anyone, but Andy is definitley not someone I would of had in my list of who should direct BTAB, especially after his work on the Flash and the intentional bad cgi
I still think Rosenbaum would have made the perfect Lex. I mean I like Beast and all but he isn't Michael. and I would have LOVED!! to see him go dark. LOL
I don't think 32 is unreasonable, damains gonna be like 12 years old, batman could easily have knocked up talia when he was twenty, went through Dick and Barbara and then Jason, skip Tim drake cause he's not necessary tbh. That's doable in 12 years and boom, talia drops damian on Bruce outta nowhere
Those dyed eye brows look ridiculous! Didnt they learn fro hensworth Thor 1??!!! Everything thing else is perfect except that one tiny detail. Im excited for gunns superman but those stoppid eye brows kill me

@@BrutalVengeance89184 That’s objectively not true. And if you both feel that way then why are you watching videos about it and commenting? Kind of immature and weird.
Sorry for the unpopular opinion, but Gunn is ruining DC films. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Pattinson walk, he’s got too many other projects than to watch this pile of it burning.
There hasn’t even been one film yet. What does Pattinson have to do with any of it? Those films are very much Matt Reaves’ project obviously with consult and slight oversight from Gunn and Safran
yes but this not slate so many additional tv shows and series attached to movies that i dont audience simply buying into authorty or swamp thing movie without it being connected something bigger.
In regards to the Matt Reeves/The Batman 2 thing: Say what you want about James Gunn, but the good thing about having someone like him co-running DC Studios is that with him being a director himself, he understands the importance of a director having creative freedom and breathing room to work. He understands Matt taking his time readying the movie whereas some random suit running things would come in and interfere and rush the product out since they only understand bottom line (which is definitely important but not the end all be all) and not actual quality, which was the problem with the old WB regime (just look at how much they interfered with Zack's stuff and the entire DCEU in general).
Just an FYI, I think the older audience thinks subscribing means paying money, make it clear that it costs nothing and it just helps you, and it helps them get notifications on new content.
Bro, I'm still disappointed that andy muschietti was chosen as director for Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He directed the flash movie and it was bad. He's not a very good director and I don't think he's suitable for Batman. It would be a major failure if the first Batman movie in the dcu failed About the cast, I want Alan Ritchson as Batman, he's 6'3 and David as Superman is 6'4 and Superman is an inch taller than Batman. This is accurate, and don't forget that we will be presented with the Bat family and Batman must be huge and taller than them.
There's two comedic moments I would love to see in Superman. I would love to see a scene where Clark actually says "ah shucks" or "golly", and everyone in the room just stare at him like he has turds hanging out of his mouth... I'm also really hoping someone makes a comments about Superman wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants. I mean if we absolutely have to have those outdated, awful, corny looking trunks, at least acknowledge how completely absurd they look.
