You are both wrong. For the clippers to win a championship, Harden needs to be a scoring threat for the defenders to come out and open up shots for others.

@@tonychang-g7n Disagree. As long as Kawhi and PG are doing their jobs he really should only need to average around 15 a game or so. He's like a supercharged version of kyle lowry on the 2019 raptors. He can score 25+ on some nights, but he's mainly there to set guys up

Kawhi and pg are getting good shots partly b/c James draws a lot of attention and sometimes two defenders doubling him at top of the key and this opens shots for others. That how they playing now. If James is not a scoring threat like Russ (not a good shooter), the defenders just clogged the middle and driving lanes, this will force kawhi and pg to shoot only inefficient jump shots. Cant win games without driving to lanes.

People are against load management yet bashed harden when he was balling in the regular season. While teams like the warriors and spurs will load manage despite having loaded teams in the regular season. This is the spurs playoff secret yet people bashed harden again. That was the whole point of CP3 after 2017. The Spurs are now the reasons why people play less in the regular season. 2019 is another perfect example. Especially when Kawhi joined an already 60 win team. While also adding post defense in Marc Gasol. Kawhi was still using load management in the regular season despite this. People are against load management yet bash Harden for balling in the regular season during his prime.

Plus Kawhi had Tim Duncan. No offense. Kawhi is overrated.

As the first option yes he did but this is not longer his role for the Clippers. Never been a huge fan of Harden's game but gotta admit he looks great in LA, he's running the offense so effectively and even defending very well too. Harden is the perfect point guard for 213 (Kawhi & PG). Always looking to get them going & in return they free up Hardens iso opportunities. Match made in heaven. Then you got Russ off the bench who totally changes the energy.
