absolutely lmao everyone want a heartbreaking speech but cmon, harden stayed true to himself here and it would be fake as fuck if he did it any other way
Why do you think OKC hasn't done anything since they traded him? The mgmt is dumb as hell - Harden basically gave them two starting lineups when he was in the game. All they needed was to start adding more defense - they should've paid Ibaka less or let him leave cause if you see him play every day then they should've known that his play was moving further and further away from the basket. After this they get rid of Thabo Sefolosha - more defense gone that they've never replaced. Then mgmt signs Billy Donovan instead of waiting and signing Tom Thibodeau - another stupid move. Then no one still has enough balls to tell Westbrook to change his game and share the damn ball in order for them to improve or KD is gone. Now Westbrook gets credit for all these triple-doubles which is bs - he's now forced to share the ball and put up all these assists. OKC isn't going anywhere until there's some changes up top to bring some common sense knowing that they're not making through the West without any D. They can't outscore teams in the post-season in best-of-7 series... the saying of "Defense wins championships" is still true.
sundi712 salt... long story short James Harden forced the Thunders hand to either trade him or trade Ibaka. If James took a 2 Million pay cut, this wouldn't have happend.
TheFireIndian OKC should have just paid the luxury tax. They literally did that after trading Harden a few seasons later. They paid the luxury tax after signing another player (don't remember who it was).
if they all played in the same team, they would not have been in this position as we all know Russ holds everybody back look what happened to Victor, he went from nobody playing with Westbrook and to MIP leaving Westbrook
@@jaredroy7315 Everybody knew he was going for the MVP, that's why Bron and AD didn't come and that's why he came with all his family lol he totally knew it, he is just him.
JustNothing. What the fuck does that say about him as a individual player? Rings are a team accomplishment stop it he simply didnt have a team with talent this year
Before yall saying he didnt deserve for be the Mvp there are 2 things who are definitely important: 1)Most winner 2)Most scorer So for normal people he totally deserves it
Been a houston fan since the tmac and yao days james harden has fit in perfectly to our organization glad we have him he deserves it fully so humble and quiet yet swaggy and electronic
By definition he is a rookie dumbass it does not matter if its his second year in the NBA ots his first time playing like zhou qi on the rockets he is considered a rookie in his second year
Your Vanna's people don't remember what he did last year also he averaged a double double points and assists he literally makes his teammates better at high efficiency
Yall are not understanding that this is a REGULAR season award. All the credit in the world for what lebron did in the POST season, but James harden 100% deserves the award for how he performed and carried the rockets in the regular season.
Nah I’m not saying that, Ofc lebron carried his shitty ass team like the goat that he is but what I am saying is that harden had a phenomenal regular season and should be recognized for it. I’m not taking away anything from bron and he should be given all praise for his playoff run but at the same time you can’t take away from harden Bc the man did everything right in the regular season. I mean he had great stats and led his team to the 1 seed in a ridiculously hard conference. That’s all an mvp should be asked to do and it’s about time harden wins something
Junior Prieto I get it bro but LeBron took a bunch of nobodys that have never been to the playoffs to the finals...harden had cp3 and the sixth man of the year...I mean goddamn harden had help.
So sad that team Rockets didn't reached a Final stage in 2017-18 NBA season. If they reached a Final stage and won a ring, then I want to see Chris Paul be a Final MVP at least
the fact that LeBron carried tf outta the cavs and swept the 1st seed in the east. Made it to the finals with one of the worst teams in the NBA. Plus played 82 games at 33 years old. All that over qualified him for MVP
So let me get this straight. Ben Simmons beats Mitchell in everything but points and wins ROY, even though Mitchell had the better team Lebron James beats James Harden in everything but averaged points, but lose MVP, even though Harden had the better team?
Ur point doesnt make sense. Simmons scored more points than mitchell. But mitchell had a better team. Ok....but harden scored more points than james and harden still had the better team. Get it right next time.
Westbrook is my favorite player but him, Harden, Ibaka, Steven Adams, Kanter, Roberson, Dion Waiters, Anthony Morrow, and many others from his OKC team still don't have rings.........so what's your point?
Wikipedia states that: a most valuable player (MVP) award is an honor typically bestowed upon the best-performing player (or players) in an entire league, for a particular competition, or on a specific team. Harden met such requirements, but not as much as Lebron himself. Lebron carried a shit-ass untalented team to the Finals at 33 years of age, played more minutes than anyone else on the court at his age, and never missed a game due to an injury. This is full-on rigged. It's only because of the fact that Lebron is dominating the league and he keeps proving himself worthy of MVP's almost every single year that Harden received this award. It's so people can stop complaining about Lebron, but it simply doesn't matter. Whoever is well-deserving of the award is to earn it, and in this case, it was clearly Lebron himself.
