James Hong is a wonderful speaker, surprised media didn't invite him to speak more often, he is a walking hollywood encyclopedia history book, he could easily had its own TED talk or variety talk show
Because of what happened with this awards season 2023, James Hong, a fantastic character actor for almost 70 years, is finally getting his deserved acknowledgement. So I have been going down the rabbit hole of James Hong's career, watching interviews, and getting more and more understanding of the treatment of the Asian community in entertainment, in film and TV, and also about his own personal life story. I am filled with gratitude to see this opportunity to know, to see, to acknowledge, to include at last the fine actors of Asian extraction who have given us so much beautiful entertainment over all these decades in our collective admiration and respect.
I loved this retrospective, James Hong is amazing! What a career and such a great character actor. I remember him in so many films! I cannot believe he is 94 he looks great. Thank you once again for having this retrospective on the Great Mr. James Hong.
James looks really good. ..no matter what age he is. Great actor. Memorable characters. He gives great advice too. I remember seeing him in BladeRunner at the drive-in when it first came out. 🤍
"The Chinese -- especially my parents -- didn't want me to be an actor." I don't know if he meant for it to come out like that but that was really funny 😅
