I'm so glad I left Portage when I did, before developers built the Mall, then Walmart, and businesses in Downtown Portage either burned down leaving empty parking lots, or simply shut down. Then a Crime Streak made Portage one of the most Dangerous places to live in Canada. I miss the Old Portage I grew up in.

nice pictures but I am wondering where are the pictures of the metis people ? Specifically the picture of the ox carts or ox train as you called it. Those are Red River Metis carts.....designed and built by metis i think it should be acknowledged.

I hate how things are now in 2022. Life would have been better a hundred years or more ago.
