I heard this first on the Sound of Erin radio show in the 1980s. And on St. Patrick's Day night 1986, I heard "When Irish Eyes" on WJIB-FM in Boston.

If you like Last here, wait until you listen to Russian Melodies (on RU-vid,) I think it is a total masterpiece. The brass and back-up vocals are out of this world.
