After going to Scotland in 2004, Olympics in 2008, countless WBA wins since the 90's, and amazing performances across the U.S, then pretty much firing the entire band staff in 2012. The school district really doesn't know how great of a gem this band program was.
Despite their lost, I think it was a good thing to happen because I've been hearing so much about how everyone was really expecting to win every year lately and how they'll never be defeated. I even thought that way my freshman & soph. years. At least it shows everyone currently in the band that anything can happen and to just keep moving forward and working hard in order to regain what was once lost. - J.L Alumni.

Im planning on doing color guard this coming season for marching band at my small town highschool, but my mother doesnt like the idea of it. She said it wouldnt look good and it would be a waste of my time, and that l should look up a video of another school's CG to see just exactly what she meant. This was the first video l came across, and needless to say her plan backfired.
Too bad the rain damaged the sound board earlier that day during practice. Great performance and team spirit for these high school kids to be very proud of!
Are you asking about how some of the band members expected a win, because over expectations like that happens to EVERYONE and I'm sure it did for them. I know this because I talk with people that are still in close connections with several members.
