Rahman Jr has to to be the slowest and most wide open boxer for a long time. Carefully selected by JP because he knows that right hand of his will land and probably end the fight in the 1st round.
Not 1st round but he’s a sloppy half ass boxer honestly, he got tagged a bunch in this fight by keeping his hands down and no head movement. For how many fights rahman jr has, I’d expect way better honestly
@@AverageGamerJoe1 Well who tf is Jake gonna fight for his 6th fight then? I swear y'all love shifting goal posts. Fact is, Jake Paul taking on Hasim Rahman Jr in his sixth pro fight with no amateur career is way more of a risk than what 99.9% of prospects do.
Fight commentary is often biased, but this one is special. Until they mention that Morrison was 20-0 after the fight was over, you would have thought he had finished a box of donuts, rolled off the couch and into the ring for his debut listening to these guys.
Kenzie is a big dude and more durable than Jake Paul for sure. I think if Rahman touches Jake he'll feel it much more than Kenzie. Paul will have to work to get inside just like Kenzie. Plus Rahman can eat punches by the looks of it.
Commentary was about as one-sided as a game of solitaire. Morrison is 20-0 with 18 KOs and the commentators were talking about him during the fight like he works at Subway. Never heard of him before but this inspired me to start looking him up.
Yes, but, 19 KOs means nothin, If there against taxi drivers.Wilder is a great example, of a protected fighter.Rahman is way more skilled here the Morrison, but doesn't have Morrison's heart, as you can see dDuring their face-off at the beginning. If Rahman prepared properly, as his Fathas said that he hasn't so far iin his career, he wWould have won this fight easily. Morrison needs to increases skill levels substantially, Maybe adopt the peekaboo head movement style of his father
Morrison has some skills, just below average reaction time. Slow, plodding guy. Nothing like his lightning fast dad. Power runs in the family at least lol
Jake sure knows how to pick'em... 😂 And respect to Morrison. He was the underdog and he could have really fkd buddy up but gave him a chance for the ref to step in before he layed him down.

One thing I do wanna bring to yall is that Vidal Riley called this guy out and everyone was fine with it but Jake Paul does it and he’s looking for easy opponents? Make it make sense.
I don’t think Vidal called him out because he thought it’d be a tough fight, he just wants to start picking out more experienced fighters to get his name out there
Dudes trash asf Tommy fury was definitely the guy that can beat Jake, this guy look all slow and gassed in the first and technique is not all the way there. And Jake has all the money to get in the best shape possible to win.
Fr bro tired ash in the first round open to all kind of punches this guy gone get knocked out like Woodley. And Jake has way more money to get better training to be in shape, man this is not gonna be good bro why Tommy just didn’t take the fight he’s way better.
Jake and his team aren't stupid, they will only pick a guy who they are fairly certain that Jake can beat. The advantages that he has and the disadvantages that he has placed on Hasim are too much. [1] The weight cut that Hasim is going through right now is insane. In this fight, he walked in as 224lbs, this fight was 4 months ago so boxers tend to celebrate and pack on a few extra pounds on their off season. - He's a late replacement and was only given 1 month to drop down to cruiser weight which is at minimum 200lbs. Even in a perfect scenario where he's experienced in weight cutting and he maintained 224lbs for the last 4 months, it's still extremely difficult to drop 24lbs in one month. But this isn't a perfect scenario, he most likely was walking around at 230 or 240lbs when the call was made and cutting weight as a heavy weight isn't their specialty. [2] They're also making him do most of the promotion for the fight, I've seen this guy on several interviews on big time boxing channels. It's the correct move for the promotion for the fight because he's an actual boxer and that's what everyone has been clamoring for Jake to do, fight an actual boxer. -He's not used to doing interviews and hyping up fights. Big name fighters talk about how tiring and mundane it gets answering the same questions over and over and those insecure self doubt thoughts are going to be popping in and out more often. No one wants to lose to a youtuber, theirs a lot of pressure for him. [3] You're only as good as your last fight and the flaws we see here when he's had proper time to prepare are going to be exasperated due to the drop in weight and late notice. Stamina, defense, fundamentals, they're all lacking here. The worst part is that they called him into "spar" but in reality they were scouting him as a potential opponent. So Jake already has an idea of the speed, power, and skill he'll be facing. The man does have heart and it is on full display in this fight and his fundamentals are superior to Jake but the disadvantages are just too much in my opinion.
If you watch the first few rounds of this fight vs Paul woodley 2 you can see a massive gap in skill level with Rahman jr having far better footwork , angles, and combination punching against a much tougher opponent . Additionally I don’t think Rahman will gas out , he’s been 6 rounds b4 and boxing is built into him . I’m surprised by the betting odds putting him as the underdog but nobody knows for sure !
It's because we live in a society now a days where popularity is everything...Jake has the popularity and social media following which his doofy self thinks really means something in boxing...rahman Jr has been doing this his whole life and yea he isn't his father but he has experience which all of Jake's opponents thus far had none of. If u think logically there is no way Jake wins this fight
@@lamontt9127 I said the same thing, if he finds a way to win this time there’s no way anyone can say anything. weight cut and clause or not this is a huge mismatch, unless Jake finally shows us some distance fighting and doesn’t just 1,2 hug 1,2,3 hug, then this isn’t going to be good for jake. Jake needs to be in and out very quickly and use his speed to an advantage and use straight punches like he did to askren to get this win especially because rahman is taller by about 2-3 inches so we will see.
Yeah I think paul is in trouble. If rachman is in shape. Rachman was doin ok in this fight. He just got caught and couldn't recover in time. It wasnt some brutal KO like I was expecting to see. But he never has his hands up. Not sure what's up with that
This was actually a decent fight! Rahman took Morrison far too lightly and made a miscalculation which Morrison completely capitalised on! May have been an early stoppage! I can see Rahman was upset! He needs to learn to protect himself at all times! Hats off to both fighters!
It was indeed, more competitive and action packed than many top fights and bravery and fight on show from both of them...I didn't even know this happened and 'Tommy Morrison's son versus Hasim Rahman's' son is the stuff of movies.
@@Antfrom330 His defensive skills are definitely lacking, he has no consistent jab, he has no ring generalship and doesn't counter either, but the fight was still entertaining and Morrison could've easily been outboxed had Rahman simply worked on a few fundamentals. He was admittedly humble in a very good interview saying that people hyping him up saying he had a hundred amateur fights is misleading because he took three years off after that, plus he stepped up to heavyweight for this fight. He knows he has a lot to work on and this guy is still learning. Unless we're actually in the ring boxing, we need to be a bit more careful of our criticisms because these guys are gladiators! I'm not going to call anyone a bum unless I've been in the ring with them and demolished them and I still probably would just be humble as getting in the ring alone is more than the majority of men, and women, would do! This isn't Rocky!
ahhhahahah listen to the commentary. "Kenzie isnt this. Kenzie hasnt got that. Rahman has the pedigree. rahman looks such and shch" BUT KENZIE GETS THE KO! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
@The Guy Who Knows Some Guys gotcha. My bad lol. Yea Tommy was a very hard puncher. But he was a very wild joker though. I use to live a town over from him when he had just began his professional fighting. I only met him once at a club and he'd have 3 women at one time hanging on him like meat. That's why I wasn't surprised when he came up with AIDS. He would have had one hell of a career if it weren't cut short.
@The Guy Who Knows Some Guys This is true. In fact, had he taken training seriously and stayed away from the party lifestyle he would have achieved that elite top level. The only thing he lacked skill-wise was an elite defense (although it was better than often charged). Any other weakness was self-imposed and the result of living a fast and loose lifestyle. Even so, Tommy, fighting in the 2nd best HW era against world-class competition, still managed 48 wins against only 3 losses. The Bent loss wasn't a "fluke," but Tommy would have won that fight 8 out of 10 times. Just got criminally careless for a few seconds. Tommy Morrison was about as good as HW boxers get.
McKenzie reminds me of Gennady Golovkin stylistically.. and I didn't know Tommy from Rocky movie was his dad. I definitely see where he gets his power from 💥
Jakes just gotta wear his stamina out in the first couple of rounds and then drop this lazy mofo in the later rounds, when he is moving in slow mo with his head waiting for a hammerfist.
He has a good jab though, and those body punches he threw could very easily KO Jake. Plus he will be 24 pounds lighter than this when he fights Jake. Anyone thinking this will be an easy fight for Jake doesn't know what they are talking about.
@@strangedays871 Being lighter due to a huge weight cut in a short time period on top of having a short camp to prepare will give him less stamina, less energy, less punching power and less punch resistance
If he gets his cardio up and improves his boxing a hit the guy can be a legit contender. Love his natural killer instinct and heart. That can't be taught.
It was stopped a tad early, but he was only one for two punches from going down hard. He might thank the ref a few years in the future for saving him from bad concussion.
When I heard he had a 12-1 record and was the brother of a legendary boxer, I thought he’d be good, but just by watching 10 seconds of the fight that I can tell why Jakes team picked this guy 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Real simple he’s not, Tommy would KO this dude in 4 rounds max and Jake will take him out in 2. This guy doesn’t belong in the ring with anyone that has power, hopefully he learns this lesson quick or he’s gonna get hurt bad
You all are casuals. Hasim Rahman Jr. literally has 5 times the exp Tommy Fury has, much bigger, better defense, better jab, hits harder, better resume and better Boxing IQ, also trained by his legendary dad. If Jake pulls this off it's a much better win than Fury. Learn Boxing instead of tuning in to just RU-vidrs fighting.
@@imherecuzbored5693 cant tell if your serious or not but this guy got slapped up in a spar by a guy off the fuckin street! This dude absolutely sucks! Lazy, no cardio, no defense etc Tommy is far better than this guy
Make no mistake. Rahman was beating the shit out of Morrison. He just got overconfident and got caught with something big. He actually showed decent skills here
I hope he gets his cardio right for the JP fight or it's gonna be a bad night for him... But the cur to 200 pounds including the hydration clause worries me too. If he has a hard cut, not only his cardio but his chin will suffer as well. Deep down from my heart I hope he floors jake.
There was nothing controversial there he was done his life would have been over if that kept going did you see him before that first knockdown even ? Scary
His Dad was far better and league's above this kid. Kenzie was out of shape going into the biggest fight in his career, Tommy would have never came in the ring looking that soft in his prime. If he's wanting to follow his father's footsteps, he better put in some more road work. He got lucky with this horrible stoppage
Rachman is good. Sharp punches. He just gets lazy with his defense and he could definitely be in better shape. But if he corrects both those issues he could destroy Joke Paul
Fr Jake gonna probably beat this guy if they fight and fool a lot of people because of his record but this guy has no defense and Jake will probably land a big shot and knock him down or put him to sleep
Morrison had a fighter in front of him that kept his hands low and kept backing up, gotta make him pay and props to him for figuring it out and taking him out. Morrison has potential and here are some things I saw for improvement: Jabs and hooks need to be relaxed, fluid and with leverage, he was missing jabs and half hooks and than his arm was all the way across his body in a bad defensive position, gotta tighten that up. Snap the punch and bring it back. Needs more of those long relaxed smooth right hands too, work on the 1+2, then surprise him with the hook. Gotta tighten up the footwork and balance, also when he would throw, and then Rahman threw back, he would stay in range, but needs a slight step back to be just out of range but close enough to spring forward. And finally him being kind of slim in the upper body, and being only 22 years old, he should have way more stamina. That should be the focus just being able to throw crisp punches and sustain it for 8-10 rounds. It can be done if practiced, but needs to learn to relax more, the hands should not be tight or be loading up, that's how you get the snap, not forced shots. Don't need to load on all shots, change of pace.
Yes he needs technical work defensively and offensively and tactically and in conditioning...but he showed heart, some hand speed, durability and power...and Rahman showed some skills and variety too. It was an all action fight, would have expected their names alone to earn more publicity.
His dad had the same issue. Too tight and didn’t pace himself all that much. But he was more athletic with better balance, didn’t end up in bad positions often
Damn, seeing this actually makes me think Jake has a genuine chance. Rahman looked like he was in the 12th round in that 1st round, the dude looks super stiff and he's very slow. Worst part, he seems very hittable. Wasn't impressed at all, he just doesn't look very talented. Just being honest.
Jake Paul is precisely fighting him for all the reasons you just mentioned. It fucking sucks, but he'll beat this guy, this is why he's fighting him and not other pro boxer.
rashim really pumped that jabb out there and james did a good job pressing the fight so often despite being incentivized to do otherwise, but such persistence on james's part resulted in one of the biggest turn around matches ive seen in a while, a long while. good bout between two legendary father's sons, both of which have pretty clean records and outstanding knock out rates. this fight really came together.
Rahmans hands are a lot slower than I expected honestly he’s got a good jab just looks like the delivery is slow. That Morrison is a tank man 😂 and he got some snap in those punches id rather see Paul fight Morrison honestly. I think rahmans gonna give him issues but idk man jake might beat him sadly. Id rather see Anderson Silva beat jakes ass honestly
@@EveryonesToughOnRU-vid Na dudes definitely a tank. Jake Paul ain’t eating those early round haymakers Morrison was. Jake will be more mobile. Morrison has a heavy handed herky jerky style Rahman was the more skilled & composed fighter perhaps a little to composed him standing in front of Morrison with his hands down got him caught he had no business losing this fight Rahman Jr is better than this hopefully he learned something & comes back stronger .
Agreed. Rahman has good skills but he looks to rest on the ropes too much - also he relaxes when his opponent is within punching range - needs to get out of those bad habits if he wants to get better. Although in fairness, that gazelle punch by Moorison (ala Tyson & Hagler) right at the end of the fight, was perfectly executed & really hard to pick.
He had no business losing this fight ? He lost it because he couldn't get Morrison respect and keep him off of him. He got caught and put out. That's the brutal nature of HW . It only takes 1 punch
With all due respect to Roy Jones, Jr., Rahman was hurt, and Roy called it even after Rahman made it to his feet. He later contradicted himself. If the ref hadn't stepped in when he did, the result would have been the same, only Rahman would have gone out on his shield.
Good win for Kenzie. I really like him. I have been keeping an eye on him for a few years. It seemed that he might have busted a rib or something early on because he was breathing hard, but definitely needs to push himself to keep climbing the ranks. He is still very raw, but has great natural power. His brother is similar but disappointingly lost his last fight.
Fair play jake, you know how to pick ur opponents. On paper Hasim looks like he should wipe the floor with jake but we all know that’s just not the case. It was all done on purpose. I predict a 3rd round KO finish for Jake
it was objectivly a bad stoppage. according to the rules the guy was too conscious. He literally complains the moment the fight is stopped, hes literally too awake lol.
Seemed staged how he took the L… he left his face unguarded and leaned in to get hit and then barely got touched by the hook but fell like it fully connected 🤔
Great stoppage. After that uppercut, it showed he was about to take some very serious blows. Ref did him a favor health wise. Live to fight another day.
I disagree. It looked like Rahman was hurt but he was pretty upset after the stoppage. He even jumped up and down which demonstrates that he had his legs under him. Nothing bad on the ref though. It looked like Rahman was in trouble. I wonder if he was acting to try and catch Morrison off guard.

Rahman does not have the power (at least from this performance) to keep fighters from really pressing him. That, and he gets caught with punches very easily. Makes sense why Jake Paul is fighting him....they aren't dumb.
But this is legit the first time he's fought a full-time boxer. It's a big step up given he's much bigger than Tyron and has a good jab, body shots, and heart. Tyron was a shell of his former self in that last fight and Jake hasn't been that active in the actual ring

Rahman Jr clearly a very technical fighter with loads of talent. He started coasting after those first 2 rounds and literally allowed Morrison to wake up in time from the 4th round and paid the price in the 5th. Stopped prematurely perhaps, but that boy Morrison sure do got some heavy hands with serious reach, that jab was finding its mark almost every round until the right caught up with the KO. Rahman Jr all fight long struggled to truly get comfortable with a "safe" distance. That being said, a loss like this to a talented fighter like Rahman Jr clearly is only means bad things for his next opponent. Being humbled has a way waking up your true potential. Just look at all the great fighters in history, all had to be humbled at some point early in the career before they blossomed into undisputed champions
How are you gonna coast after 2 of 10 rounds? Especially when you got hit hard and clean with your hands down in both of them. The fight was way closer before the stoppage than the extremely biased commentators were letting on. Rahman might have had a skill advantage, but he was also clearly slower and less powerful. He needs to change his style moving forward because he does not have anything close to the speed required to fight pros with his hands down like that.
rahman was getting beat in every round its the commentary team that were clearly on the rahman books that even made it seem competitive rahman is stiff his lateral movement is garbage he hold his hands too low and his reactions are too slow for the style he wants to have. man why we sending either tommy fury or this guy to fight jake paul he's not that good but he's better than these fucking guys.
