yeah I’m surprised he talked about a Map the Finance minister held up in a speech in france but didn’t mention the map held up by netanyahu showing only Israel from the river to the sea in UN. It was almost as if he only finds it offensive that Israel would think of absorbing Jordan but not offensive if they claimed the occupied Palestinian territories as theirs
He was neither honest nor fair. He's still talking about things that have been disproven and still acting as if this is a case of tw equal sides. he speaks as if the whole situation started on October 7th and consistently speaks supportively of Israel despite them being openly genocidal. He calls the Palestinians terrorists but not the Israelis, even though they have committed nothing but extreme terrorism since 1948. And as the above poster is saying, he is only concerned about Israel taking land if that means it takes Jordan.
James gets driven around in luxury cars , prob lives in gated community away from any troubles... what a privileged position it is to speak about a conflict half way around the world from central heated, fully catered studio.
Still not called out his mate Starmer though has he? It's quite easy to criticise Israel when even Biden is doing it. It takes guts to do it when the majority aren't.
A lot of people I know have been learning about the history of Israel/Palestine. Myself included. This is why I, and they, are more sympathetic to the Palestinians. The people who are unflinching in their support of Israel seem to be doing it purely out of religious zealotry or campism. Instead of learning history they are trying to rewrite it.
Correct if they knew the history they would know that Israel attacked the US also and there was a massive cover up it was the USS LIBERTY attack if you haven't heard of it look it up
And where do the Jews belong? They are the true refugees in the Middle East. Where are they safe in the Middle East other than Israel??? Why are they not in the rest of the Middle East? Think about it. Their calendar is 1000s of years older than the Palestines.

If you're shocked at Israeli politicians saying that they oppose a two state solution, or denying the existence of Palestinian people or their indegeneity... Then you simply have not been paying attention for the past 75 years.
Yet Jews accepted the 2 state solution in 1947 even with its barely contiguous borders and certainly less than 1/7th of the area that had originally been scripted under the British Mandate authorities. It was the Arab countries who the day after Israel's establishment (a people remember who were still reeling barely 2 years after 90% decimation of Europe's Jews) invaded it with the aim of its immediate destruction. So you can cut the nonsense rhetoric.
From the river to the sea and the way it's been twisted is actually something Israel has wanted since 1948, and especially now having discovered natural gas and oil in Gaza worth $547B.

Remember the average Johnny in the UK did not get the vote until 1920s or even right up to the war years 1939-45. And the political establishment was invented well before then and is still under representative of the normal Brit. We had work houses well into the 20th century and only after sacrificing millions in two world wars did we get a proper wealthfare state. It’s their land. 1000 years before the word Palestine was ever even spoken, Israel existed. It’s Quite literally a universally agreed upon fact by scholars. Even by opposers of Israel, like Egypt who have found ancient hieroglyphs talking about & directly naming Israel, dating back to 1200bc.
This was never just about Hamas. It's all about the land. The plan has always been, regardless of past agreements, about taking that land and clearing out any non Jews. Pretty sure this won't stop with Gaza. If the world let's them get away with this Israel will grow.

Question James, why do you call the Hamas fighters terrorists and the Israeli fighters the military? Hamas did some things in terror--but by that nature, hasn't Israel done terror acts 20,000 times worse? You mentioned that you saw Hamas terrorists fighting the IDF--and that was war--but why the difference? I think that US dragging this, to give Israel more time, has done long-term damage to US relations and influence in the world, not only with Asia, Africa and South America but also with parts of Europe. The animosity this generates is going to have long-term consequences
So you think for example that Erdogan gathering rallies to yell about “a just world without US” is just nothing. You are naive if you think China won’t use this sentiment to gather more nations into their coalition. This has side-effects you don’t seem to understand
The sad thing is that the world is abundantly aware of what is going on but the “powers that be” have an agenda and they are ruthlessly following it through ….. they don’t care. And if they can do it to them …. they’ll do it to anyone and then justify it.

The ties to Israel run deeper than the presidency. No US president, whatever their conviction, could unilaterally abandon Israel. Also admit how you stifled voices who spoke out in support of the Palestinians. Contrition is a great and healing thing.

The only differences you call one side action, an operation in the other one terrorism, which is simply a neo colonial term applied to anyone who challenges the more powerful party, because the definition of terrorism isn’t based on the actions they commit, because they both commit terror, historically speaking, Israel has killed way more Palestinians under terrorism to achieve sovereignty.
