Fun fact: Van Der Beek means Of The Creek in Dutch so really James is James of the Creek of Dawson's Creek.

@@thethrowawaythatstayed7055 Yes, it is true. Van Der Beek in Flemish can be translated as Of The Creek/Stream/Brook. Even though "van" can mean "of", "from" or "by", in this case the better translation would be From The Creek.

I think he’s pretty happy in is life. He has a beautiful wife and like five kids that he’s proud of. Just because his fame isn’t where it once was, doesn’t mean he’s not right where he wants to be.

There was a smaller movie he was in where he played a serial killer. I think he plugged himself into that character very well like the chameleon that was to be portrayed. There's past "younger" self and a future "aged" (not so good prosthetics) version of the character. I can't remember the name of the film; perhaps in the last 15 years it came out? He cracked me up in the "Celebrities React" RU-vid series, where he watches an Ice JJ Fish video.

I met Mr. Van Der Beek many years ago, circa '01/'02. He has a warming presence, very friendly. I wish we saw him featured in more things. Hollywood is dumb.

I had the privilege to see Tig on June 1st in person. My stomach and face hurt from laughing so much, especially when she played the piano and sang for us. Go see her stand up if you have the chance.

Tig, years ago my Nana enjoyed you so much, & tuned me into you. I’ve watched whatever work you’ve put out ever since. Whenever I see you create something new, I’m not only overjoyed, but can’t help think/miss my Nana. She passed away Sept. 29th, 2016. You really made her laugh. It was very special when she did. Thank you for for continuing to share your gifts with us.
