Tournant définitivement le dos au folk mélancolique de ses débuts, *James Vincent McMorrow* a signé un formidable dernier album (_We Move_, 02/09), plus chaleureux qu'un feu de cheminée en hiver - dont les textes, intimes et délicats, sont traversés d'une soul sensuelle mêlant synthés languides, beats soyeux, basses profondes ou cordes affûtées, qui en font la bande-son idéale des dîners amoureux, _Rising Water_ invitant à de délicieux déhanchés, tels les préliminaires au plus torride des périples.
Definitely, watched him live at The Sage in Gateshead a couple of years ago, he was fantastic. Especially when he covered Wicked Game solo. Favourite song of his on the night though had to be Down the Burning Ropes
Fuck being potentially "very famous" - better to have oodles of critical acclaim and commercial success, while remaining blissfully under the proverbial radar. Fame is overrated.
