I remember seeing you with JY's band in Atlanta around this time. You're a legend among us Styx fans, and I knew exactly who you were, set up with the big sound board. It was a small dive bar, but the sound was amazing! Probably the best sound the bar ever heard. I felt so fortunate to hear this band in such a small venue, and to hear it sounding as great as the record!
Thank you! The JYG was an amazing band to mix and tour with. This era of my career was certainly a highlight for me. I learned so much helping to make the record in my home studio and then mixing the band live. This was also around the time I toured and mixed live sound for Night Ranger as well. I’ve been going through all the tapes from many many live shows as I recorded lots of them on my digital tape recorder. I must say they actually do sound pretty good. Pushing seventy one I don’t think I could keep up the pace I did back then but I’m grateful for all the musical experiences and a full life.
