Full contempt hearing for former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel on April, 9, 2024. EDITOR'S NOTE: Footage has been edited out of attorneys discussing private, legal matters with judge.
Jamey Noel has been committing crimes so routinely for so long that he truly believes he's above the law. Hearing the judge slam down his gavel on his bench and hold Noel accountable is justified and it's welcomed by the citizens who are tired of the corruption and the hypocrisy of law enforcement officers and judges and courts who practice two systems of justice when these types of people end up in court and walk away with a much better outcome than we would. Its admirable to finally see a judge do the right thing, the thing we should all expect: He followed the law and administered justice. Period!
Hopefully it wasn't just a show that sees Jamey noel evade justice later on ⚖️ There's still a very long way to go when you see a five million plus theft it's very hard to believe there wasn't ALot more coconspirator's!! This guy and his family are Appalling for using Volunteer fire fighter funds to pay tuition, vacations, clothes, vehicle's There's definitely neglect involved with other employees that had to have known!! To steal from his own brothers estate is disgusting. This hurt the communities in ways that can never be repaid and couldn't be repaid
Nice speech, settle down. You can cry and moan and never realize that a small portion of the justice system does what this guy did. It’s a free country!
@cjpiper2420 good point, it's actually insane to see the sheer number of videos of misconduct and entitlement by the judges themselves. Obviously NOT ALL judges, but it seems to be a rampant problem...along with the amount of law enforcement who demonize Marijuana and really benign prescription drugs that actually help but at the same time they're so tweaked out on adderal amd other "performance enhancement" drugs. That's real.
@1:57:45 “I told Mr. Noel, don’t do anything stupid. Do not try to deceive me, defy me. You will not like the consequences! [Judge slams gavel down as hard as he can!] Today is that day!” Noel will not need to decide which expensive suit or which $800 belt to wear for the next 60 days in! Remember, don’t drop the soap!
LOVE how that judge put his all into that gavel coming down! And love what he said, that he is NOT above the law! Should have given him the 180 days in! He’s gotten away with so much he literally turned his nose up at the court because he thought he’d continue to be above the law!
Jamey thought he was above everyone else & now he is paying for it. I have no doubt there are others involved. His greed of having acquired so much through criminal actions is his responsibility.
The defense is going to have a very difficult time convincing this judge that any of all the blatant wrongdoings that this defendant knowingly committed over the course of several years.
And we have For Public Safety to thank for his fantastic investigation skills to expose all of this, investigate, arrest and file charges all by himself!!! He should be honored and given the key to the city!!!
Many judges take great offence to contempt of court issues, as they see it as them turning their nose up not only at the court but at the rules the judge themselves set out for them.
I - as a former inmate am sure ol Jamey is likely aware that a good celly sleeps on his belly and he's gonna have to be gay for the stay. Its not gonna be his choice with such a well known pretty face 👀
Whys it look like mrs.Noel use to be mr.Noel?? That whole family has no shame and they deserve Swift harsh punishment for commiting such horrible crimes to the taxpayers and community. They all knew what was going on, Nobody would think they can use Volunteer fire fighter department credit cards for millions in personal spending
The way the police act like thugs now day this sheriff was a dream come true . Liar , thief , and his his family as well . Can’t believe he’s being charged at all , they normally get a promotion.
In my experiences this is Typical behavior from law enforcement.. not necessarily on that large of scale. It's infuriating to ponder what these people n positions of power get away with.
whooa I just heard about this two days ago or two days in heehee. look at this umpfff we cant say the words we use to describe him. he made his prisoners live like dirty dogs in the Clark County shithouse. and he acted so surprised when "60 days in" participants told Noel that giving books to inmates would be extremely helpful. Give them something to distract their minds from criminal mischief. NO ... he was stealing from them through commissary. unbelievable!!!
Weird court room with no microphones. Why would state not have already seperated witnesses before court. The camera man's microphone appears to be picking up the prosecution team whispering non stop by the camera microphone it is so off putting. Perhaps stop trying to zoom in so much that you miss everything else.
well in defense of the shotgun firearms arent dangerous the ppl holding them can be. hope noel got a welcome back party thrown for him when he got to jail. besides he bought those handguns he knew he had them. ignorance of their location or neglecting to tell ppl searching no excuse. he bought them so he knew he had them
All his things should be turned over to the community equally as they paid in taxes and then some for the poor. Either auction everything and divide the funds or give the items in a fair way. He stole from the people and they should get it back.
The layers are so disrespectful, all the whispering ,while the court is going on ,you don't think people can hear you ,,if their disrespectful what can you imagine????
I have been convicted of contempt in court. 48 hrs do 24 hrs and time served.. 60 days!!! Lol.. no 15 day hold here, lol. Gary Smith, what would he have done? Anyone?
This cop is so nervous , why is he so nervous? Is he afraid he is going to say something he was not coached to say, you can tell he has been coached!!!!!!
Him & his wife & kids was living LG they should get everything took away no way go to hell for the buy all that stuff being a sheriff. No way take everything since you can't tell what he got on his own repo everything 💯🤬🪳🪳🪳🪳🤬🤬🤬
I’m 😂how do you give one of the, now former sheriff 60 days in. Like bro had the crew’s in that jail twice and it wasn’t too shabby. Sheriff from 60 days in, gets 60 days in. I wonder do we get to hear his calls? Who’s gonna be taking his commissary? But, mainly I want to know what happens if he can’t do his 60? Will the producers let him leave? Seriously, I’m getting punked, right?
I can't believe the amount of the people's money this dirty cop spent! I hope he spends many yrs in prison. The same goes for ALL of his family members also. They ALL knew the were stealing! What a pos.
The only problem I have is this judge having some personal issue with Jamey Noel. His stance is unknown but its clear by the way he's sitting there that he's influencing the room. I don't think with him trying this case is fair. Look at his demeanor, it's not a neutral demeanor by any means.
Lawyer is as dirty as the perpetrator pulling on paperwork that doesn't even pertain he is trying to confuse him. And the force and officer's wonder why they are not trusted by the public and why they are treated as they are once again by the public. This is Shameful and let's hope they don't let him or family get away with the depth of this is absolutely appauling. He's bought shame upon the thin blue line. Wow talk about picking individual situation's on colour of box and when you took the picture's considering he knows exactly who take's the photo's my goodness talk about splitting hair's. Crikey no wonder why your lady of justice is blind folded like blind faith. No way would I want to work on blind faith with the way you do thing's. Crikey
judge was way too emotional…. judges should run on law, facts, and evidence, not emotions. that decision should have been to NOT hold him in contempt. The defense was correct, they were new handguns, still in the box for years, the down-stairs area of the house had areas loaded with stuff, it’s very reasonable to conclude that he probably forgot he even bought them in 2017. of course, for stealing enormous amounts of funds from these entities..the guy will receive his due punishment. there’s a mountain of evidence against him. but… As far as the case for contempt…. it obviously wasn’t a blatant act, wasn’t a purposeful defiance of the court… wasn’t an “above the law” cocky attitude. the guy legitimately forgot he had those, and i’m sure setting in jail, he realizes he should have followed up to ensure he was in compliance. that wasn’t a court hearing for the ridiculous crimes the guy committed to live a lavish lifestyle…you have to forget that for a moment, suspend judgement …focus on the task at hand. it was a hearing for contempt. period ! so calm down everyone…. be patient,,,, this former law enforcement officer will absolutely positively get what’s coming to him. but as far as contempt,., i will defend the guy on that. wasn’t contempt. in my opinion…just a judge trying to build a fan-club, or get a few high-fives later, make a “60 days in” joke…it didn’t impress me…but apparently, some of you loved that verdict. but again, you’re thinking about why he’s on trial…and intermixing those emotions with the “contempt” hearing. two separate things …that’s not the way the law is suppose to work. the end
