I remember listening to this or music like this laying in bed so late at night the sun would be coming up unable to sleep thinking of a girl.. wonder if ill ever experience love like that again or if young love is just for the young
Wow I remember being 13 and seeing wanna be emo's and scene kids everywhere and all I could think I wish I had hair like that but It wasn't bad I never judged them by there looks or the way they choose they're sexual liking I just wish I could've had hair like that lol and been skinny then as I am now but thanks for uploading this best years of my life I wasn't like the emo or scene kids but I tried my best to fit in thanks you to all who made my life a living hell in school and thank you so much to those who made it a lovely place to feel like I fin somewhere in life back then it was hell but it was also Heaven I miss then forever memories I won't forget lol peope use to tell me scene is dead shave your head it just changed to me in a way I wish the original scene or the first kids with bright hair were still around they were different and didn't care what anyone thought or said mean or nice they didn't care because they were they're self and I was proud to be apart of that era that part in time wear it was Hell and Heaven for scene kids and emo kids ill always miss seeing bright hair in my school and skinny jeans call it what you may or joke call me gay at least I could say I stood for something and had friends that I wasn't alone or judging people I was myself and I was proud of it my family even sort of was mean but I did what I felt was me and I hung out with the weird off kids anyway long story uh shoulda made it short if any old school emo rocker scene kids see and were bullied because the way you dressed or looked I'm proud of you always be yourself no matter what anyone thinks because your you and that's all that matters :)
Kyle HORIzON I just wanted to point out that they don't chose their sexual preferences. I'm not trying to be mean or anything. But I can relate to what you said and I was too one of those kids. I mean the kids who didn't know where they fit in and found somewhere with the outcasts. Nonetheless, I applaud you.
I miss Jason and Derek together :/ but I do really like the new Mayday Parade, and Go Radio. They both accent the different music styles of the two different singers :)
i love mayday parade songs live, acoustic, studio versions. derek is an amazing singer, yes i miss jason but mayday parade is still the best band, with the most amazing touching lyrics and will forever be amazing. stop fighting and enjoy the fucking song

Jason isn't singing the last part of the song, Jake is. Jake and Jason have 2 different voices. I personally think Jason was a great vocalist in this band but I guess he stands good in Go Radio. I don't really like his band but whatever. And I think it was a good idea to have Jake as one of the vocalists cuz he doesn't sound bad at all.
@callenmiller First of all, the TO that you just wrote should have been spelled, "TOO." A little English lesson 101 for you. Second, adding the word "fucking," adds nothing to your post but portraying someone who doesn't know how to speak eloquently and present an argument without the addition of swearing. Third, nothing in the post was whiny. I stated the facts: two separate bands, etc. Then, I said I liked this version despite a few things. Learn to read between lines and then we can talk.
@OhHopeh I can't believe you have the ignorance to bash on them. They DO have new songs. Ex: Terrible Things. It's THE SADDEST SONG I have ever heard. They have more creativity in their pinky toes then you have in your entire body. Mayday Parade always has been, and forever will be, the MOST amazing band in existence. Now to EVERYONE. @Falinthor Oppostie, jason pulled some crazy shit on them. if they kicked him out it would be different. he left for go radio. he was the ass. and now go radio blows. he is a great singer. and this isnt a new member, its just his brothe because they wanted to re record the song and felt nobody else should do it.
@MrSpacely89 Dude, have you ever SEEN Go Radio live? They sounded better live than just about anyone ive ever seen. His voice is as flawless live as it is on the record which is very rare. Also, hes just a very cool down to earth guy. I love Mayday, but without Jasons writing they probably wouldnt be as popular as they are today.
@MrSpacely89 he was actually CO-LEAD vocalist. not back-up. I personally think Jason is awesome live. He's better than Derek and a lot of other people live imo. I still love Derek too though, i just think your not giving Jason the credit he deserves (which is why he left the band in the first place, because he felt that they weren't giving him enough credit)
@MrSpacely89 Really? Mayday Parade is awful live. Watched them a few years ago WITH Jason and thought they were great. Saw them last year at Warped just to here "Jamie All Over" and I left halfway through the song. It was AWFUL. Jason Lancaster is one of the most talented musicians out there. He sings with emotion.
@MrSpacely89 Dude Jason made this band. There's a reason Anywhere but Here was such a flop. Even if it wasn't just his vocals(which were a huge part of why the band was great) it was is amazing song craft. Nothing from the post Jason can compare to back when he was in the band. Still I'll admit I kinda like this version of the song.
I don't see what everyone's complaining about, yes, Jason was good, but yes, he left. And they have done fine without him, Anywhere But Here is amazing, Derek is as bloody talented as Jason was, and personally I prefer Derek's voice, and Jason left years ago, so get over it. @Guthrietastic that verse is in the Kid Named Chicago version of the song, Kid Named Chicago was Jason, Jake and Alex's band before Mayday Parade When Mayday re-recorded Jamie All Over for A Lesson in Romantics that verse got cut out for whatever reason, shame cos it's a nice verse
I don't understand why people are still compairing Go Radio to Mayday Parade... C'mon guys, they're both awesome bands. And if you want to know something Jason Lancaster(Go Radio) wrote most of the Mayday songs, and didn't get credit for it. And both of the bands are GREAT live.

No one actually knows the real story. I do believe it had to do with the fact that Jasons father died and wanted to take time away from Mayday but they said no. So he left

@kingdomkeygirl that part of the verse isnt from a lesson in romantics, its in the first release of that song which was on tales told by dead friends im pretty sure. great song though thans for uploading
@MrSpacely89 Agree to an extent, but you do realise Jason wrote all the songs on their first album, A Lesson in Romantics, right? Neither new Mayday and Go Radio are as good as the old Mayday Parade.

@mistakatz95 There's autotune in pretty much everything you listen to nowadays lol maybe not in the way that it corrects the notes, just cuz mics are so sensitive and can pick up so much that they use autotune to tidy it up a bit. Pretty much the only things that it isn't used on are guttural vocals and spoken vocals like rapping etc. it's not a bad thing... except for when the production is bad and you can really notice as in here.
not gonna lie even though Jason isn't there I still like it but honestly if they were gonna redo it I think they should have let Derek do it solo singing his part and Jason's except for Jake's verse which was originally his b/c Jake still sounds good on it but over all I say I like it ok for the most part
@Guthrietastic Those lines are from the original song, which was written by Jason Lancaster's old band Kid Named Chicago. (There is also a version from the KNC when they were still known as The Last Try.)
@MrSpacely89 You're very wrong sir. Jason has a powerful voice and there is no comparison with his voice to Jake's. And Mayday Parade isn't the best live either, very good but not the best.
@Guthrietastic Oh I just realised that, that part is in there. There's two versions of Jamie All Over, (excluding this one) the non- acoustic one on the A Lesson in Romantics has that part of the song.
@MrSpacely89 You've gotta admit Go Radio has extremely passionate songs though. Jason is an amazing artist. Derek and Jason had perfect voices together, and we'll all miss the old Mayday Parade.. But Go Radio AND Mayday Parade are amazing bands. Just appreciate their choices to split, and accept it. They both deserve to be heard.
I personally think Mayday Parade is still an amazing band. They have been way longer without him then with him, so all you of you need to shut up about him on mayday parade videos, and go listen to him.
